They charge more for UPS. I get it cheaper directly or by one of the other stores. (Oct 4, 2009 | post #16)
Who should be the next sheriff of George County?
Actually I have. Plus Tony is camera shy for some reason. (Oct 4, 2009 | post #15)
Who should be the next sheriff of George County?
Almost everyone you can think of worked for George Miller and others too. (Oct 4, 2009 | post #14)
Why don't people go to city hall meetings to address their concerns?
It seems to me that many people just want to gripe, yet when it comes to action, they are worthless. The only way to improve lives and conditions is to take action instead of just wagging the tongue. Many are brave enough to fuss about things but are too lazy or cowardly to tell it to the mayor and alsermen. Persistence is the key but they count on people giving up the first time. And they usually do. Therefore, the people who do not go all the way as far as they can with an issue deserve the leadership imposed upon them. (Oct 4, 2009 | post #1)

Did black soldiers fight for the Confederate states?
Thats just it. Not many care but many do a lot of griping about others not doing anything. (Oct 3, 2009 | post #5)
Garbage discount for senior citizens of Lucedale
Thats the county's way of making you pay after they forced out the independents. Larry Havard was part of that scheme, yet they keep putting him back in. Not stupid, just greedy. (Oct 2, 2009 | post #3)
Garbage discount for senior citizens of Lucedale
Why isn't Mrs. Moulds helping out senior citizens with garbage fees? Do any of the other aldermen or mayor care? Only Raleigh Sargent Sr. has tried to help the citizens of Lucedale out. § 21-19-2. Development of billing and collection system; defraying costs; increase in ad valorem tax; notice; joint and several liability of generator and property owner; liens. 2(d) The governing authority of a municipality may adopt an ordinance authorizing the granting of exemptions from the fees or charges for certain generators of garbage and/or rubbish. The ordinance shall define clearly those generators that may be exempted and shall be interpreted consistently by the governing authority when determining whether to grant or withhold requested exemptions. No free service shall be furnished by any such system, or combined system, to any private person, firm, corporation, or association. The municipality may, however, furnish such service, free of charge, to the municipality or any agency or department thereof, to any public school, or to any hospital or benevolent institution located within such municipality, including county, city, and community fairs. Attorney General Opinions. “The more specific language of subdivision (2)(d) of this section which authorizes governing authorities to grant exemptions to certain established categories of generators of garbage or rubbish on a case-by-case basis is controlling over the general language of § 21-27-27, prohibiting systems from furnishing free services. Bobo, Jan. 16, 2004, A.G. Op. 03-0703 To clarify, Mississippi code § 21-27-27 does prohibit free services, but Mississippi code § 21-19-2 states that it (§ 21-19-2) is the controlling law over Mississippi code § 21-27-27. Therefore the city board does have the authority to help senior citizens with garbage fees. (Should it choose to) (Oct 2, 2009 | post #1)

Besides, which one did it? The old man or his son? (Oct 2, 2009 | post #14)
Exactly. When we do nothing knowing there is something wrong, they will continue on their corrupt ways. As long as they are under the microscope, they will at least make an appearance of doing something. Notice how it shocked them when the first tea parties appeaed. Got Democrats worried about their future jobs. (Oct 2, 2009 | post #19)
AMR took over. How is the power company able to loan over a million dollars and still call itself non-profit? Why isn't it using that amount to cut down our bills? Because it makes a profit and should be under the committee regulations. (Oct 2, 2009 | post #3)
Well, if his wife is willing to forgive and he can promise to repent, thats the way it should be. Divorce is not the answer. Remember Bill Clinton? (Oct 2, 2009 | post #13)
Yeah, but they never owned any land, just used it as they pleased, killed other tribes, stole what they wanted, did as they wanted. Except for the five civilised tribes that did blend in, they were never peaceful even among themselves. There were those who aided them but in return were killed by them. In reality, they were cons because they didn't own the land that was sold. (Oct 2, 2009 | post #16)
Yes, it makes politicians take notice knowing that we are aware. (Oct 2, 2009 | post #15)
