I concur. Even if Rick was ready to start the opener Ive said numerous times that I think he should play less than 30 or so games in total this season. I hope the Isles play Rollie and Biron, give Rick a game only sporadically, then if Rick is up for it he can play later in the season and Marty might go to a team thats looking for an inexpensive goalie after an injury or struggle. Im sure that Biron would much rather that than to go to Europe or Russia- or not play at all- until later in the season or perhaps around the trade deadline. (Jul 23, 2009 | post #4)

Idiot, the Rangers in 52 Playoff Appearances over 83 years have a LOSING record of 193-204-8. The Islanders in 21 Playoff Appearances over 37 years have a WINNING record of 134-106. How about THAT? And, in the last 10 years (98-99 through 08-09)the Islanders and the Rangers have BOTH made the playoffs only 4 times. So WTH are you bragging over? Big deal. BOTH teams have made the playoffs in 4 of the last 7 seasons. But only one team was shut out in any of those 4 series, and FYI it wasnt the Isles. What team went NINE YEARS without winning even ONE playoff game? Again, it wasnt the Islanders. Playoffs- remember them? Yeah just as well as you do. Idiot.
