One intelligent person would assume this was a tragic accident and no need to alarm the children, but when tower 2 was hit, the President excused himself and got briefed. I believe a spanking instilles that there are consequences to their actions. Also a spanking is very different than a beating. Spanking doesn't leave any marks or bruises, just spank hard enough to get their attention. Spankings have been going on for centurys. Just watch a talk show where the parents can't control their teens, I bet they never have been spanked.
