Or, should I say I move to the gate of Valhalla. I have been given a good job as the gate keeper, and the gate house is glorious. (Jun 1, 2008 | post #195)

You misunderstand THEY were still Jews. They Believed in the Christ, but they were still Jews. (Jun 1, 2008 | post #192)
See the whole thing with Saul was to stop this uprising of the people, give the people something that makes them FEEL like they are doing something, when Jesus said Take up you cross. (Jun 1, 2008 | post #190)
NO, MANY Jews believed that Jesus was the Messiah and followed him, they were willing to go to war for him. (Jun 1, 2008 | post #189)
I read half of the first one and it sounds of reason. (Jun 1, 2008 | post #188)
So what is up with folks that whenever a quote by Jesus is written, it is countered by Paul? Should not Paul's word be in agreement with the words of Jesus, but Paul's words seem to be a counter or other or against the words of Jesus? Someone quotes Jesus, someone counters Jesus words with Paul's words????? (Jun 1, 2008 | post #183)
Mark Jesus was of the flesh. The priests accused Jesus of uncleanness, lewdness, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, drunkenness, revelries, and the like. and this 22 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 - gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Jesus had all of these but yet they crucified him. These words sound beautiful but I think they deny the human nature of the Son, that Christ came in the flesh and was accused of all the sins of the flesh. Jesus himself said that he came not to bring peace to the world but a sword, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. If Jesus had had gentleness and self control in the temple they would not have crucified him, but Jesus was not gentle against the scribes and pharisees even losing his self control and over turning the tables of the money changers. By saying that these are the fruit of the spirit Paul denies the human nature of the Christ. And who is the anti-Christ except those who deny the Son. (Jun 1, 2008 | post #180)

Actually Saul was sent forth by the chief priests to destroy Christians. Act 9:1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, Act 9:2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. The story goes on to say that he was slapped down and made blind. I would have no problem with his conversion if what he taught was in line with Christ and the rest of the Prophets but he teaches ways that are not in line with Christ. He says that he is not only greater then Christ but teaches ways that are contrary to Christ, if he taught expansion on the words of Christ that would be fine, but he teaches that the words of Christ were wrong. And he teaches these things under the authority of hearing voices. (Jun 1, 2008 | post #174)
I know this much, most of the time when I am discussing the teaching of Christ with people that call themselves Christian, they often try that dismiss Christ teachings with the teaching of Paul. In other words they say that Jesus was not complete in his teachings, so much so that Jesus was wrong about much of what he taught and that Paul brought the fullness of the truth, that sounds like a false prophet to me. Take the commandments Jesus taught people to DO them, but followers of Paul say that they have been freed from the commandments because the were to hard for man. So who is right Jesus who says do them, or Paul who says you can not do them. Seems pretty anti to me. Either Paul's teachings are anti-Christ or Christ teaching are anti-Paul, or both. Alright, In the scriptures women or woman is often in reference to a thing such as wisdom Pro 1:20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: Pro 7:4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman: And the strange woman Pro 7:5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words. And many other verses in scripture describes things as women, the church/churches are called women. I suspect that the virgin Mary is one of these women of the scriptures, that she is a thing like wisdom or a church and that she the virgin Mary gave birth to the Christ, but most can not understand the allegorical nature of the woman, virgin (pure) giving birth to the Christ. What think you? (May 31, 2008 | post #60)
