Funny how cost reductions in the form of tort reform aren't even mentioned by congress. The government no longer represents the people. The government was not established to provide equal outcomes for everyone. Nor do they have legal standing to price cap medical infrastructure, personnel and supply. (Dec 30, 2009 | post #24)
Not Constitutional. Medicine is finite. Sets precedence to supersede the USC at the will of the government and disregards the will of the people or legal proceedings. (Dec 30, 2009 | post #23)
The State is run by elected officials that residents vote for. The federal government has a document that dictates it's powers and so do most states. The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. (Dec 10, 2009 | post #55373)
I'm pretty sure we pay taxes to secure a national defense, provide for a judicial infrastructure and government buildings. I'm also pretty sure that the state is more capable of handling it's health care internally and that we don't require the federal government to pilfer the taxpayers to support it's social agenda. Seems as if government interventions stand in the way of progress more so than they advance the cause. Also seems as if the federal government is encroaching on states sovereignty by scrambling for every vestige of power it can garner in the short amount of time that the left expects to be in control. But that's just me :) (Dec 6, 2009 | post #54928)
What pro-health care folks don't understand is that that WISHING medical services were free won't MAKE them that way. If they truly want free health care then they need to first create folks willing to WORK for free and I don't see a lot of support for the repeal of the 13th Amendment. Anything else is just an assault on those that have earned what the have now and provide for those that don't. I think the left should be concentrating on thank you cards for tax payers. It's a private contractor that provides for the government. Not a bureaucracy. There is some modicum of government association such as provisional infrastructure and support and staff (at select locations) but not like what we will get with a government run health care system. It is a FOR profit organization that bills the government directly for it's services and overall they do a commendable job. That's why congress voted to AVOID participation in the new plan. They know what they have now is better. It's much closer to private health care than what they want for us underlings. (Aug 17, 2009 | post #52580)
Having utilized TRICARE for my health insurance I can assure you that it's operations closely reflect personal health care. Some of the biggest differences are the no pay low pay plans and the fact that you don't have a set primary care physician. As far as policy and medical costs the tax payers pay for it parallels any other HMO. (Aug 17, 2009 | post #52573)
Once again, months later I find no intelligent debate. Same silly ass hopey changey hippies and a few die hard Marxists. You fail at failing. Even history will laugh at you, again. Blame it on Bush and call me in two years. (Aug 15, 2009 | post #52559)
C'mon you commie judgment fairies, gimme some racy lips and a clueless icon. The very least you could do. Must suck to not have the ovaries or intelligence to debate the truth. Facts and history sure are a bitch to contend with eh? (Aug 15, 2009 | post #52556)
You embarrass your service to America with your statements. Go find a Jihad to support. (Aug 15, 2009 | post #52555)
You do understand that Tricare is PRIVATE health care. The very PIT OF EVIL Obama is fighting against right? The SAME system that CONGRESS voted to KEEP as OPPOSED to using the option THEY want the PUBLIC to accept. Right? Just your STANDARD HYPOCRISY RIGHT? (Aug 15, 2009 | post #52553)
