Delta will cut more management jobs
geez, who would'a thunk it? do some mergers to get to be biggest, change the name on everything to Delta, and ten squillion dollars a minute will come pouring over the doorsills. to start with, fire everybody in Atlanta who drank that Kool-Aid, and get some folks who stick their head out of the cube walls once a fortnight to replace a tenth of them. NTSB says NWA Airbus jet had 'airspeed anomaly'
hmmm, we might be seeing failures of the fly-by-wire computers. Airbus planes, like all fly by wire systems, don't have any semblance of a manual mode. recent Boeings as well as many recent military jets are all fly by wire. it's moving into cars, with some power-assist electric steering 14 and 15 years old, and full electric steering in some models. Pawlenty lays budget cuts at feet of DFLers
bogus. Trouble Pawlenty wanted to force a fight, and he did. he never ever made one move towards preserving essential services while holding down tax costs for all, because he was too fixed on "no new taxes" to protect his 378 millionnaire buddies. (Jun 25, 2009 | post #60)
GM poised to cut 36 dealers in Minnesota
this is highway robbery. the dealers should be helped with their expenses, not bailed out, but given a hand for all they've done to boost the brand and corporation. this was a big mistake that is going to haunt the dealers like WWII haunted Japanese carmakers trying to sell in the US for a generatrion. Minneapolis-St. Paul airport considers replacing Lindbergh, Hum...
what a bunch of #2. don't make the change. educate the pasengers, put "Lindbergh (main)" or "Humphrey (secondary" terminal on the tickets. next thing you know, they'll number the airlines, and if somehow USAir rents more gates than the former NWA, their numbers will change. methinks there are managers at MAC who don't have enough to do. Stillwater, Lake Elmo Chrysler dealers marked for closure
"profit takers" has not been out in a while. the imports have made inroads into rural cities like brainerd. because demand has been there for imports, growing since the 1970s. quality has been an issue for too long, and that's been addressed at Ford and GM quite well, they're on a par with imports in the same class now. but the Wheel 'O' Credit has stopped spinning, and everybody is taking it in the shorts. the imports have restricted their dealer growth to preserve higher profits, the domestics went the other way to sell a car no matter what. this is why the domestics are all trying to cut back the dealer count now.
