How can citizens or what can citizens donate to help her cause. I often wondered what happens to girls that turn 18 that are in the "system" . This is a chance to grow up..I know whe my daughter turned 18yrs old she could no way be on her own. Please let us know how we can help. Money,donations,cl othing, makeup, books please let us know...This season and especially during this recession all of us that do still have our jobs should reach out to those who do need our help..WE NEED TO TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN! Santa Fe Springs votes in new councilwoman and two incumbents
Joe Ramirez's portrait is in SFS City Hall....During the years SFS was in the Rose Parade he would do all the welding himself on the float and the Sister City Committe and Womens Club would put the flowers on....Ernie Flores was elected after Joe Ramirez he was on the Council at the same time Archie Beasor was on council. SFS really needs to correct this and acknowledge our (SFS) fore fathers. (Wednesday Nov 18 | post #21)

It has been quite sometime for both Ernie Flores and Joe Ramirez...but that is SFS history....Both names are engraved at the new Past Present and Future Monument next to Heritage Parks...But I again challenge today's City Council to right this terrible wrong and put both literally on the map with a street named for both of them!!!! I do agree that these resturants/bar that end up being gang member hangouts should be closed or changed to just a resturant....Take the lead from Geezers...they started out having Karoake in the bar area...Owners saw where it was headed and stopped the Karoake. It is a really nice small town enviroment!!! Also, I think the Santa Fe Inn will be closed now also. Best thing to happen to that area!!!! (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #28)

To SFS residents, the area that these people were shot are usually used as shortcuts! Where else but in SFS do police actually hear a shot....they are usually called after to either see the scene or take a report! The Whittier PD did a great heads up job!!! I still feel safe in SFS.... Everyone needs to remember...even Tony Saprono did not execute anyone in his own backyard....he would go to another city to do his deed!!! (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #27)
