I would be shocked if you had ever seen the symphony perform. You just carry that little black North Dakota cloud with you wherever you go, don't you? Be careful - a house may fall on you... (Sunday Dec 20 | post #26)

The grown-ups are talking Alice. Keep your adolescent comments to yourself. You are mean-spirited, factually devoid, and really quite a jerk. (Sunday Dec 20 | post #175)

If I am not mistaken, at least one of the cases involved transacting during work hours, and making phone calls on campus... By the way, using a phone to set up a dope deal, if it is prosecuted federally, is a crime too- 3 years per offense (not used very often) Teachers (actually, all state workers) do have standards of conduct that if breached, can lead to termination. FYI- At least two of the arrests (public school teachers) were for crystal meth- possession with intent to distribute- one private school employee was for possession of a saleable amount of marijuana... (Saturday Dec 19 | post #162)

Alice, be quiet, the grown-ups are talking. There you go again; talking about what you don't know about... again The teachers did not walk out on the children or their "sacred duty". The governor cut the DOE budget, refused to use Federal funds in the $200 million plus figure range given specifically for educational purposes. She is playing a classic shell game with the money. When confronted nationally by her idiotic choices for Hawaii's students, childless Governor Bungle did not accept the cause and effect responsibility for the loss of student schools days- referred to as "Furlough Fridays" She tried to force a pay cut on the teachers when she had federal monies she could use to close her budget gap. Governor Bungle, er Lingle, is sort of like Mrs. Tingle... the students are not a high priority with her- especially when compared with her power needs which serve "other" purposes. the so-called teachers are not an embarassment- you never went to K-12 in Hawaii- you are supposedly from North Dakota- Your comments are an embarassment to your mother and your professors at UH- you are a shallow, mean-spirited person... go back where you came from- if they will have you. Louis Kealoha named HPD chief - Hawaii News
1) When you answer yourself it makes you sound severely mentally challenged. 2) What statistics published by the Advertiser, or the Star-Bulletin- present the statistics as they were written and try not to distort them for your own purposes. Keep in mind that they do slant what they write. 3) You have a tendency to make sweeping generalizations about people, places, and issues as though you have first-hand knowledge- know the person, were at the place, or was there when it happened. That is not true- Aren't you learning anything at UH? (Sunday Dec 13 | post #122)
Louis Kealoha named HPD chief - Hawaii News
Hey Alice- to what "National Standard" are you referring? Famously inept according to whom? Please 1) cite your sources or 2) Retract your statement or 3) at least say, "In my opinion". Your statement is an appeal to ignorance, which is a fallacy of reasoning. Oh, and work on that spelling while you are at it. (Saturday Dec 12 | post #112)

You need to check your math- Mililani, Leilehua, Aiea, Pearl City, Kapolei, and Campbell High Schools total more than 20,131 students. My guess is that there is probable 200,000 public school students state-wide- maybe more. (Nov 10, 2009 | post #87)
