Look the way I see it, Football "was" a sport of uniformity!!!! There were no stand outs...for example, Joe Pa at Penn State. No names just numbers, simple Blue and White. Because it is a TEAM, not an individual sport. Even though Troy is one of my favorite players, I have to agree with the rule!!! Same goes for Jeremy Shocky!!! Mr. take off my helmet and show off my golden locks.....it shouldnt be allowed. Football has lost itself over the years, and fans have lost what it once was.
