Santa's arrival has colorful history

Another reason to call the paper the Daily Slander. The door and carpet in the house, along with a complete repainting took place just a few years ago...  (Monday Nov 30 | post #1)

Discrepancies in Web info fuels criticism and distrust

This is a seriously biased article. While I agree that it is messed up that the monies aren't being tracked properly. It is also quite obvious that the reporter (if you can call her that) is seriously biased against what the government is doing. Probably why I hear people call the paper the Daily Slander all of the time...  (Monday Nov 30 | post #1)

Julie, while I understand your position. Pleading out is admitting guilt. If you admit that you did it, they don't need to prove anything. I know that for your son it has to be a confusing time, but it doesn't make it the end of the world. It is the tougher parts of life during our childhoods that shape and mold us into the adults we are now. As long as his mother is there to help guide him I am sure that he will be fine in the long run...  (Thursday Nov 26 | post #9)

More staff hired to handle epidemic

I think that it is great that the local health board can hire people to help with the H1N1 virus, but they are unable to hire to enforce the no smoking laws of the state...  (Saturday Nov 7 | post #1)

Former area business owners indicted

Hence the name "Daily Slander." Anything in that paper is either propaganda, slander, or old news you read 2 days ago online...  (Saturday Nov 7 | post #5)

Celina man sent to prison for murder

WOW!!.. I understand that Celina's Police Department isn't really that great. But to be convicted in a court of law for murder requires a jury. That means that a group of people felt that there was enough evidence to sentence him to 10+ years.. I don't know to many people that would take that responsibility lightly, let alone a group of 10 or more. Don't know anything about the person convicted, but as an outsider looking in, if a jury said he did it, he did it...  (Saturday Nov 7 | post #6)

Child sports

Talk with the Celina-St. Marys YMCA. I am sure that if they don't do it, they can direct you to someone that does.  (Saturday Nov 7 | post #8)

trick or treat

Trick or Treat was once again boring. I can't believe that the city has Trick or Treat when it is still light out, not to mention that it wasn't held on actual Halloween when it fell on a weekend!!! Where is the spookiness in that?. Where is the spirit?.. I realize that some children might trick, but isn't that the reason to make sure you give out candy?.. Is our beloved police force so over worked that they can't handle a 2 hour night time activity?. (They seem to be able to swarm all over at the picnics throughout the year.) Come on, doesn't this bother anyone else?..  (Saturday Nov 7 | post #3)
