Ex- Minnesota Viking Erasmus James pleads not guilty to charges...
Good point. Wonder where those deadskin fans are that were posting after the trade about how they would make James into a star. I'll give Chilly some credit here, he took two first round busts drafted by the previous staff in Troy Williamson and James and at least got something out of it instead of out right releasing, and his drafts and free agents aquisitions have been solid for the most part. Time might be right to see more Percy Harvin in Vikings' offense
The **** above is suppose to read a h0le. Can you believe they censored it. WOW!!! Touchy (Thursday Nov 12 | post #20)
Time might be right to see more Percy Harvin in Vikings' offense
Quote- "We've thrown a lot at him and we just want to make sure that we're getting as much out of him as he can give us, and not too much," Childress said. Unquote OK, I'll buy that Chilly, but then why are you talking about him returning punts when Reynald is doing a good job. Kick returning, where you get the first 10-20 yards before contact is a lot different than punt returns where you can get leveled right after the catch. Harvin has great ability to see **** and accelerate thru it which suits him perfectly as a kick returner, but punt returns are making someone miss and I would sure hate to see him get injured as an experiment. Ex- Minnesota Viking Erasmus James pleads not guilty to charges...
Deimitruis Underwood and Erasmus James among other first round DE busts makes the trade for Jared Allen for a #1 and two #3's look like a steal. I'll take the proven player over potential any day. (Thursday Nov 12 | post #8)
Five keys for the Vikings to make a championship run
Just a guess, but probably nursing a serious hangover and trying to get rid of that ugly fat chick they picked up after the game. (Monday Nov 9 | post #57)
Minnesota Vikings' Brad Childress says Percy Harvin could retur...
I think he's too valuable as a WR to risk injury as a punt AND kickoff returner. (Monday Nov 2 | post #8)
View from Green Bay: Once again, Packers their own worst enemy ...
I also don't understand the Packer management to continue to be 20 mil plus under the cap every year, but as a Viking fan I'm all for it... (Monday Nov 2 | post #30)
Green Bay Packers cornerbacks playing more man-to-man coverage ...
They may be getting a little long in the tooth but Woodson and Harris are still quality corners IMO. I'm concerned about how we fill in for Winfield. I know the tandem of Sapp, Paymer and Allen did a decent job last week, but unless we get some QB pressure, they could get exposed, especially Paymer, he seems to lack cover and tackling ability. Green Bay Packers cornerbacks playing more man-to-man coverage ...
Man to man coverage by their CB's opens up the deep throw, but does not open up any additional lanes for AP to run, he'll still get his yards though. If Favre can get decent protection, he'll have some long completions downfield if they decide to play tight man to man coverage (Thursday Oct 29 | post #5)
Green Bay Packers cornerbacks playing more man-to-man coverage ...
I agree, with Syd's size and Percy's strength they can break thru any bump coverage and burn them, whereas Berrian has trouble with any bump and run, so if he does not play it will not be as much of a loss. Going to be interesting on how the officials let their two CB's hold. They seem to let a lot go at Lambeau. (Thursday Oct 29 | post #4)
Minnesota Vikings' Kevin and Pat Williams asked to testify befo...
Probably not. Since they cannot prove there was any performance enhancing drug use and the Williams were not aware this was a banned substance due to the NFL's lack of properly informing it's players. I hope they come to a smart solution and move on with a proper ruling of no suspensions, but the NFL and it's room full of lawyers will do every thing in their power to save face, which is exactly what it's come down to. Minnesota Vikings' Brett Favre expects to be booed at Lambeau F...
This will be a tight game from start to finish. Packers always play the Vikings tough and it's at Lambeau, so the 3 pt advantage for the home team is Vegas way of saying it could go either way. I've seen enough games at Lambeau to ever think we would ever get the advantage for officiating, just hope it's fairly called and that does not determine the outcome. Also, I would think all the pressure is on the Packers, they lose this one and they are 2 1/2 games out, which might as well be 3 since the Vikes would have the tie breaker. The Vikes lose and they are still 1/2 game in front with no tie breaker advantage. (Wednesday Oct 28 | post #4)
Sansevere's Huddle: Is it too early to start thinking Super Bow...
When the national media puts us up there as a superbowl contender, then it's real, but not some local beat writer trying to sell papers. Defense and the run game will need to improve and show consistently, but 5-0 is a good start. (Oct 15, 2009 | post #33)
Vikings' special teams showing improvement under Murphy
Great advice coming from a veteran special teams coach...how's that bit of sarcasm. Got to tell ya, there's more to it than running down the field. Staying in lanes is a big part. Are you really Paul Ferraro, cause that's how he coached? (Oct 9, 2009 | post #9)
