Palin Punk'd By Canadian Comedian Again
Don't forget Liberia. That regime change seems to be working, not that anybody would know because it isn't being reported (Saturday Nov 28 | post #153)
Mel Gibson's drunk driving conviction expunged
Did anybody expect anything less? Hollywood protects their own whether they be racist's or pedophiles. The way to fight this type of bullstuff is to close your wallet and show them your back. (Oct 7, 2009 | post #5)
Producer: Japanese Jail 'Taking a Toll' on Savoie - NewsChannel...
Let's see, we sent the boy home, but the USA does not get reciprocity when it comes to our citizens, and this is from one of our "allies" . Screw Japan, let China have them. (Oct 7, 2009 | post #68)
Zimbabwe to Keep Seizing White-Owned Farms
If Zimbabweans think the whites are bad wait until they meet the Chinese. I doubt the Chinese will just roll over and give it up either. The Chinese are taking over the rest of Africa, why not Zimbabwe? At least the ruling class in Zimbabwe will be getting the coffers filled again, and that is what being in power is about these days right? (Sep 26, 2009 | post #268)
Dems Deny GOP Bid to Put Health Bill Online
I don't need 72 hours for this bill, I don't even need to read it. What I do need to know however is if Congress will be participating in the new plan. If they aren't then I don't want it either. I want whatever Healthcare plan Congress comes up with for themselves and so should all of America (Sep 26, 2009 | post #108)
White House to Scrap Bush's Approach to Missile Shield
Why would the three branches of our government give a lick about defending the country? They get whisked off to safety and ordinary citizens suffer the consequences should something happen. Remember, no good crisis should go to waste. Personally I would prefer my tax dollars be spent on a missile defense that works rather than Section 8er's living in my neighborhood paid for by the government who don't. (Sep 17, 2009 | post #9)
Laura Bush Defends Obama's Speech to Students
Germany declared war on the US, not the other way around, really a dumb move for Germany (Sep 16, 2009 | post #338)
Laura Bush Defends Obama's Speech to Students
It's one speech, parents have their kids for 18 years. If your kid is swayed by one speech then you have failed as a parent. Many thanks to the Republicans who crossed party lines to show that this speech is no big deal. Have at it Mr. President, I am sure it will be a teachable moment one way or the other. Laurel vote stirs up controversy
The Phelps Center which is the old Laurel High School? Doesn't that building sit next to a historically Black American community that resides on land given to or purchased by freed slaves? Racism I think not but I do agree with the need for more polling places. Theres two schools on 197 that could be used as polling places, but as a stopgap couldn't PGC supply school buses to shuttle constituents to the Phelps Center for this election? Seems pretty simple to me but I am not an elected official so I do not know all the details. (Sep 2, 2009 | post #1)
Laurel, Police Trap for out of Staters?
So it's Laurel's fault that aging hippies can't find their way? It's always been someone elses fault with these baby boomers. The Greatest generations only failure is their children. That being said the Vietnam veteran should know about the 6 P's as well as "Know your A.O"(was he a REMF). There is no mention of looking at a map or googling your route in your tirade. Also what LARGE travel club doesn't provide maps and trip tickets for their members who are going on a trip? Sure isn't AAA cause I get maps and trip tickets from them all the time. Unfortunately Laurel is also a major distribution point for drugs coming south from NY and NJ. This is because Laurel is perfectly placed between DC, and Baltimore as well as being right on 95. Where are you from? Being elderly and lost I am willing to bet you were weaving on the road also. I don't know about NJ or NY but here in Laurel weaving on the road just asks for a Drunk Driving stop. Finally I am guessing that you were frustrated at being lost and went Gates on the cop. So with access to the internet, membership in a LARGE travel club, and the ability to buy maps(I won't even get into owning a GPS) you really have no reason to blame anybody but yourself for your bad expieriences in Laurel. Finally, I do not speak for the mayor or the town but as a 41 year resident of Laurel I am willing to offer you my middle finger as a reply. (Aug 22, 2009 | post #3)
Dogs rescued from butcher in the Philippines
There has got to be a more humane way to harvest those crops. Millions of innocent plants die everyday just to feed humans. My only solace is the fact that we humans eventually end up feeding them. (Aug 20, 2009 | post #846)
Dogs rescued from butcher in the Philippines
It's cruel the way farmers just cut that corn, and wheat down. Plants have feelings too (Aug 20, 2009 | post #844)

I used to Happy Hour with bunch of friends at different bars in town. We used to go outside to smoke. We would deal with issues of cold, hot, wet, dirty looks from other patrons, lost seats after the break so we decided to do something different. We now go to each others houses for Happy Hour. Some houses we can smoke in, some we can't but the beer is always cheaper and our seat is always waiting for us when we get back from our breaks. No vigilante non-smokers and we don't spend our money in establishements that discriminate against us. Non smokers get their fresh air, and we don't have to smell sweaty obese people or hoochies with too much perfume/cologne. The idea is catching on here and the parking lots outside these bars at Happy Hour just aren't as crowded as they used to be. Smokers need to speak with their dollars not with their mouth.
