Only two percent of Americans under 65 will be under the public option (CBO estimate, as reported by Politifact) by 2019. Really, really small number. The 30 million who will have plans on the market will overwhelmingly use private insurers. Remember, this is the CBO. Non-partisan. A step below the GOA bastards that make the IRS look down right friendly. (5 hrs ago | post #12)
It can happen if one is a bit arbitrary. The accountant can be protected by law. Fire that accountant, and a large fine, plus even larger compensation to the accountant can either scare any company away from trying to make the accountant their bitch, or make it really bad business to fire accountants you do not like. Retired state cop could take helm in Plainfield
It sounds like they hired someone with experience and is willing to work for next to nothing to save the village money. He sounds like a very nice person. (Sunday Nov 8 | post #35)
Am I really a nut bag when I am right? Health care is for the rich. Thankfully, soldiers are given the best health care in the country and they deserve it. I just wish us proletarians had access to quality, consistent and life saving health care on the same level as say, Obama. (Saturday Nov 7 | post #9)
I was talking about rewriting the laws so the fall out of a company going under does not include loosing your pension plan. But if you want me to include making personal purchases on company dough, mandate the employment of an auditor who's job is to ensure the purchases the company pay for fall within the law or the constitution of the company. I am a law an order kind of guy, not communist. I prefer my ideas on pension security though. 401k trusts at banks. You sign up for the plan with a few thousand other people. You send your money to the bank. Bank invests the money in the trust. Bank is given a fee to administer the trust and invest the money. Mandate every company in America to use such a service to manage the pension funds of employees. (Saturday Oct 31 | post #26)

Dugan switches to Judaism -- for the food
Very few cases use direct evidence. Most evidence is circumstantial. Even with DNA at hand, we can infer incorrect conclusions. (Oct 24, 2009 | post #9)
Except I am right. Everyone is bitching about these idiots, but aren't stepping up to the plate to change the system so those idiots can't do it again. Baseball isn't the national pass time. Complaining is. (Oct 24, 2009 | post #22)
Dugan switches to Judaism -- for the food
Although he deserves death, if we continue killing people, we will kill an innocent person eventually. On that day, you and I will be every bit as guilty as Dugan. May god have mercy on our souls. (Oct 20, 2009 | post #7)
Wow. A lot of tin foil hats. It is not the best system in the world when life expectancy is so low. Health care is for the rich. Everyone else must deal with deceptive policies and risk denial of life saving treatments for profit. (Oct 18, 2009 | post #5)
How about going into politics, the lot of you? You are all bitching about how the system is set up, using these execs as the whipping boys for what they did. Get elected. Change the system. (Oct 8, 2009 | post #20)
