Truckers to Skaneateles: Stop inspecting or convoy is on

Well people...from what I've seen from the pics and news article, and a conversation with Bill Sutton, there's a hell of lot more Skaneateles residents supporting the truckers. The few nasty commenting people are well outnumbered on this issue. If the corrupt officials in the NY state government would abandon their attempt of extortion by forceing truckers onto the Thruway...this protest convoy would not have been necessary. We have spoke with them to no avail, and took our issue to the federal level. The FHWA has informed NYDOT if they pursue this state route ban and adopt it into law...NY will lose federal highway funding. Apparently NY officials must feel they will generate enough revenue forcing the truckers onto the Thruway to offset the loss of federal funds. The corruption in NY's state government knows no bounds...but they will soon learn when they drive every trucker and trucking company into bankruptcy with their extortion tactics. You must be a family member, or friend of the family. How dare you state we should give this individual a break. It's going into the 10th month since he ran Mrs. Harris over and killed her...and no action has been started in our judicial system. No presentation has been put before a grand jury. It's still an open case in our local pd. I understand the need to investigate thoroughly, but this has gone beyond disturbing. This is a very small town and everyone knows something isn't right with this circumstance. It's time for our local authorities to get something done. Deal with this case and let our judicial system do it's job. I had an officer finally speak with me regarding a few things, and out of respect for our authority I have remained quite...waiting and watching. That was 3 months ago. Permits are in hand... We have access to the reflection pool from 10am to 4pm, amplified sound, parking available at RFK Stadium (Lot 7 & 3). I do respect your opinion...although we may disagree about things, it does not mean you don't have the right to say, and feel, what you do. There seems to be many things we do agree on, but as to our founding father's believing revolutions to be an acceptable thing we apparently do not. They, I believe, realized that revolution was the only action left to right the wrong during their time. And knowing this they created our Declaration of Independence and Constitution...inb edding this last resort, for the American citizen, within them to protect us against such destructive government actions. As to my voting...every single time. I truely believe that a man must participate in our election process, inabling him to have the right to speak his peace when the majority has chosen the wrong individual.
