They complain about videos/movies desensitizing our youth to violence, so what do these goody-goody public sevants do? Take the first step to make teens unsensitive to death. I'll believe in global warming when they crack down on China and other "emerging industrial powers" that don't even have what we call an EPA. They burn more coal than us now. Also, all those people who imply most scientists believe in GW- the man who coined the phrase "global warming" says its a lie! I remember being brainwashed as a kid in the 1970's with gloom and doom "running out of energy" "global cooling" B.S., so pardon me if I'm a bit skeptical. How long have we recorded weather patterns? 100 years or so? How often have they got next day forecasts right? Yeah, they can forecast weather 50-100 years in the future. What a joke! We should boycott these Olympics! After all, China agreed to be more tolerant. Instead the atheletes and the media will be censored. We participated in Hitler's 1936 Berlin Games as if nothing were wrong with his regime and he used it to legitimize his power to the world. Why is our gorvernment afraid to stand up to inhumane countries anymore? The Olympics are more than just sports- its a world stage for the hosting country!The fact the IOC would pick China to host is a sad statement of our world. If a guy from the Golf Channel made those "lynching " remarks or one of the guys at ESPN had made a fool of themselves at that roast they would be fired, but I guess "beauty" still trumps brains, race, and religion in this country!
