I have two sides (smile) I live within 22 miles of the big city of D'ville, and I keep up with what is going on - Oh, and the other person who ask what Tiger Woods had to do with this subject - I made reference as to how folks dissappoint. It's the political correctness that's driving me nuts --brought on by the liberals. Some businesses request that their employees not say Merry Christmas for fear of offending someone. Yes, I agree. I don't know if he was sucking up or not, but those "thank yous" and "appreciates " drove me up a tree! We were all making fun of him in the back of the room. I didn't appreciate the mayor's attitude toward those poor dogs. I wish folks would take care of their animals. Animals have feels too and are at the mercy of man just like little children. I remember when....

As a little person growing up in the country, I remember riding in the back of a pickup truck with cousins. My aunt and uncle took us to a part of Donalsonville where they sold hamburgers made with fresh sausage meat and loaf bread. It was on a little dirt street and they referred to it as the "N" word town! Anyway, I could smell those hamburgers from the minute we hit the city limits. They were the best hamburgers, but of course, back in those days having a hamburger was "uptown" !! We seldom went to a movie, but if we did, I would think about the movie all week long and could not wait until we could go again. Roy and Dale were the best back in those days. I wish I could go back just for a day or so. Mostly though, I wish the young folks could experience how life was then and how we appreciated little things. It's good that life is easier now days, but i am afraid that we have lost a lot of joy in life... Happy Thanksgiving and don't forget to say "Merry Christmas" This crap about saying, "Happy Holidays" is wrong. Infact, I am purchasing a LARGE sign for my front yard that reads: MERRY CHRISTMAS.
