Well it looks like Sir Frank torpedoed any testing....... On another note- none of the big boys like Bernie, Max or the team leaders etc really give a damm what the fans think or want. This is about to change as the official fans assoc is in the process of being legally formed with the aim of having a voice within FIA FOM, FOTA etc. Long overdue.  (Aug 3, 2009 | post #54)

Bob i agree to a certain extent but the ban for 1 race is not punishing anyone except the fans really. In my opinion forcing Renault to pay a couple of million into a safety fund would hit them much harder and be of more use to everyone. Just my handfull of boiled eggs.  (Aug 2, 2009 | post #48)

F1: Kovalainen Out, Rosberg In At McLaren ???

Well now Rosberg's BMW option seems to have somewhat dissipated then I can only see him either staying put or going to Macca. Haug also confirmed last race that they were totally disappointed in Heikki, there were no talks going on with him for next year and yes they definitely want to see a German in the cockpit. Don't think Heikki stands a chance to be honest. And no- Rosberg and Hambone are not friends.  (Aug 1, 2009 | post #5)

Yep- he been complaining he wants a decent meal and if not had the accident he could have won the race. He wants to be back in the car ASAP but was today moved to a private clinic in Paris. Massa will be back but maybe not this year.  (Jul 30, 2009 | post #39)

For heaven's sake- we got a guy killed two weeks ago and another put in hospital. To add to that we had nothing but pull outs infighting and politics for months this year. So I say- great for Schumi to try and do his bit, god speed to Massa that he gets back soon and please lets stop bickering about the past- none of us can change it and none of us gonna change our opinion now either. Hey Redneck I think it is a good solution. I mean Ferrari do not know how long Massa will be out of action- so to involve a driver from outside who may just think he then deserves a seat is not on. Schumacher is there, been part of the team for years and abviously in the eyes of the team and money makers a huge better bet than either Gene or Badoer........logi cal in a sense.  (Jul 29, 2009 | post #17)

And he has categorically ruled out driving. Alonso- although theoretically possible due to Renault's banning will not drive a Ferrari in Valencia. He has too much respect for Massa to do a cheap trick like that- or so he said. Gene will be driving the Ferrari in Valencia- he is doing straight line tests before the summer break tomorrow and then the team will see from there depending on Massa's state of health.  (Jul 28, 2009 | post #12)
