Racism still exists in Farmington and on the Navajo Nation. All one needs to do for proof of that is to read the online Topix discussion forum that can be found at daily-times.com. Almost every topic seems to include someone's racist comments, which spark never-ending rebuttals.:::::::: :::::::::::::::::: ; That is a direct qoute from the article. Please explain how you understand the " basic concepts of discussion here." I for one see it as the fact that this writer see the racism from both sides.  (15 hrs ago | post #1400)

After I read this post I decided to go back and re-read the actual article. It clearly states that the racism from BOTH Farmington and the Navajo Nation needs to stop. I just looked up the definition of reverse racism. It is funny that it is EXACTLY what thinker and cursor are doing. Reverse discrimination (sometimes called "reverse racism") is, in its simplest form , the practice of favoring members of a historically disadvantaged group at the expense of members of a historically advantaged group. My 5yr old daughter got the H1N1 shot. But yet my 3 other daughters did not recieve it. The reason the 5yr old got it was because she is asthmatic. When the shot first came to this area there was such a short supply that the people in charge felt that the ones in who were more susceptible were fisrt on the list. Which makes plenty of sense, as we all know those with cronic illnesses are the higher percentage dying.  (Thursday Dec 3 | post #25)

Christmas parade set for Thursday

I am one who agrees with this. I have lots of fun as a child/teenager with the firehoses and daytime parades. What I don't understand is that the city is trying to make it better but the Christmas parade at night?? freezing temps?? what? are they trying to kill us?  (Wednesday Dec 2 | post #4)
