"Cruel and unusual punishment is prohibited by the US Constitution. Those of you who support starving prisoners are anti-Constitution and thus anti-American, and the lot of you ought to be forced out of the USA. It is *you* who are the true menaces to law and order, and to society." Sounds like someone's done time and read all the law books in the library. I'm not for starving prisoners, it's just that "Chocolate " and many, many other drug dealers out there have never thought off all the other people out there starving because someone who's supposed to be caring for them goes out and buys drugs off the dealer. It doesn't matter to them that others are starving because of the drugs they sell, because as long as the dealer and his girlfriend and their kids are logged in to our wonderful "system" , getting their checks and food stamps, life is good! I think that it's sad to see a world that has become so brainwashed by the media that they pull "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" from children's reading lists and try to edit the Black Crows out of Dumbo. Dumbo for Christ's sake! These people claim the book and movie characters I mentioned are "racist" . They are actually a piece of history. Back when Mark Twain wrote Huckleberry Finn, that's the way life was in the South. When Dumbo was made in 1941, that is the way they chose to make those characters appear. The saddest thing of all is the double-standard in this world, especially in the US, that any black pride group is perfectly fine, but God forbid that a group of white people form a group (or a holiday) to celebrate their white heritage. I am a purebred German-American and damn proud of it, and I go to Oktoberfest every year just to celebrate my white German heritage! (Jan 15, 2008 | post #2157)
