Hey, does anyone know of any local churches doing the Trick or Trunking? I have a small daughter and you can most definitely trust churches way before people's houses now days. We live in the Cherryville/Shelby/Fallston/Lincolnton/Long Shoals area. Thanks!!! (Oct 19, 2009 | post #1)
Please help me find good parks
One nite while i was walking thru the nature walk trail... well it wasnt really nite time, it was evening.. i was walking thru there and caught a couple having sex right off the edge of the trail. my ex (boyfriend then) told me to act like we didnt notice them and to keep on walking.. haha, yea right, i start laughing and yelling at them, til they got seriously embarrassed and pulled their pants up and ran off... but i have heard of ppl doing worse things on the playground and under the bridge... totally nasty. i mean, come on, these are little kids's toys!! Oh, and West Lincoln has a park now to. And next year they will have a splash pad for the kids so that they can play in the water. One part of the park is for toddlers and one is for the older kids. and they have a covered picnic area. (Oct 1, 2009 | post #6)

The one in Kings Mt right off of 74 is HUGE and it is soooo much fun. I am 22 and I enjoy taking the kids to it. Its right behind the YMCA and its in a fence to so you aint got to worry so much about strangers just walking up in there and the kids running off towards the road or anything. there are different styles of swings, and there is a big boat they can play in, a train, house, etc And there is a wooden xilophone (which i butchered at spelling) that they can play music on... There are covered picnic tables in gazebos. And its free it get into. Its the YMCA's park but its open to the public. Its right across from the Bojangles. If you are coming from Lincolnton, you go down 150 and take a left on 274. On 274, when you are coming to a sharp curve, you take a right onto 216. Follow 216 down til you get to the bridge that crosses over 74. Take a left onto 74 but stay in that lane, DO NOT go onto 74. When you come down that exit, take a right. As soon as you pass the gas station, the YMCA is right on your right. The Bojangles will be on the left, next to the ABC Store. I dont go to Lincolntons park or Cherryvilles park. The one in Kings MT is WAY WORTH the 10 miles drive. Its safe and fun. (Oct 1, 2009 | post #5)
