Hall of Famer Jim Rice calls out Jeter and A-Rod

I don't even care if he wants to talk about A-Rod, Manny, and the rest of those guys. The fact that you would ever group Jeter into a group of guys you dont wanna look up to is an absolute joke. The guy should be fired from NESN lol.  (Aug 22, 2009 | post #7)

League suspends Nevada manager

The integrity of the game rule is the Vermont-New Hampshire rule. That happened in the regional semifinal in 2006.  (Aug 22, 2009 | post #32)

Hall of Famer Jim Rice calls out Jeter and A-Rod

He's a moron and should be taken right out. Nobody of my generation even gives a crap about who he is. Jeter? Are you kidding me?  (Aug 22, 2009 | post #2)

It's on to Pennsylvania for SoCal

I disagree with basically everything you said. The fences could be moved back a bit, but 225 is definitely good enough. The teams from smaller/weaker states are lucky to be at the regional. That's what some of them play to do. The weight of the bat isn't the problem. Neither is the wood. Just get rid of composite. If they go to plain old aluminum TPX bats, things will be fine like they always were.  (Aug 19, 2009 | post #5)

Who will be the first to beat Luke and ParkView?

Explain to me what "HA" is? Is that supposed to be "HI"? This guy is truly stupid AND ignorant.  (Aug 15, 2009 | post #5)

Georgia vs. Virginia

Warner Robins is a GREAT program. They're amazing. They're not crazy world beaters though. When they won the LLWS they needed a crazy 10-9 win in the regional final to get there. In the LLWS, does anyone remember that awesome catch over the wall in game 1 of the series between Massachusetts and Ohio?? If that ball goes over the fence, Warner Robins doesn't even advance to the semifinals. Crazyyyyyy.  (Aug 15, 2009 | post #3)

SoCal plays catch-up against Nevada

Southern Cal may be toughest states to go through, but SoCal has won only 3 of the last 10 regionals. Let's see if Park View can hit Hart on the mound before we annoint them anything.  (Aug 15, 2009 | post #15)

Bangor East (ME) player suffers skull fracture

I don't know if the Morrill family will get to see this or not, but I'm one of the guys you talked to on Sunday afternoon before this injury took place. We couldn't believe it when we saw what happened. We'll be thinking of your son and your family and we hope everything works out. If Mr. or Mrs. Morrill sees this or hears of this comment, email me at Section1GuyCom@aol .com so we can know what happens. Good luck with everything. Our prayers are with you.  (Aug 10, 2009 | post #1)

South Shore (NY) opens up with 7-4 victory over M-O-T (DE)

It was the first time I saw him pitch. Everyone says he loses focus and command, but he looked very very good. Overpowering and controlled his off speed pitch. I know some NJ LL gurus think that Navetta-Quinn is a good williamsport combination.  (Aug 10, 2009 | post #4)

Who will win the Little League Western Regional

Coach, don't pay this guy any attention. He's never seen anyone in California play LL before. He's just crazy.  (Aug 10, 2009 | post #7)

Rockledge (FL) soars in regional opener, 6-0

Navetta struck out 13 and gave up 3 hits. 2 of them were solo homeruns to a stud kid, and the last one was a curveball up in the zone after he showed him 6 in a row. Navetta is the best pitcher in Bristol. Ask about 2000 people. It's a fact. You can also ask MORE than 2000 people if I know the game or not. They'll tell you that there isn't anybody in the country that can match me in LL or HS football. Look my name up on google.  (Aug 10, 2009 | post #4)

South Shore (NY) opens up with 7-4 victory over M-O-T (DE)

Youthsportslive.com is showing the games online in video, but according to a lot of people it's really terrible and it's not game coverage, it's more like streaming webcam. It costs $15 for the month.  (Aug 10, 2009 | post #2)

Lincoln LL'ers face Maine today

Maryland is really weak beside Stonebreaker who is the best ATHLETE in the tournament. He made a full extension (and necessary) diving catch in centerfield. Tracked down a line drive in the gap for an easy out, and beat out two infield singles. He can fly. The rest of the team isn't very good. Peabody is definitely the favorite in my eyes to win the region, but Lincoln still played tough with them, and we still don't truly know what Portsmouth brings to the table yet. They have good pitching and they've obviously been there before. Maine IS a good team. It's the best Maine team I've seen besides Westbrook that actually snuck into the World Series. They're 0-3 right now, but they got a tough break against CT last night and they're really nice people too. I especially like the Morrill family. I hope their son is ok. He's had bad luck for this whole tournament run with injuries. Last night seemed ugly. As for Jersey, I've seen them play 5 times now and they always LOOK lucky, but they just know how to where pitchers down and get timely hits. They're a nice team. People think they're lucky because they have junk ball/spot pitchers as opposed to power pitchers, but they've shut down some decent hitting teams. Look for Oliver, #12, to break out. He's too good of a player.  (Aug 10, 2009 | post #9)

Lincoln LL'ers face Maine today

Well considering Bangor Maine tagged RI's #1 for runs and then got completely utterly shut down by Peabody, Mass tells me that obviously they weren't that great. And no, get a clue. SoCal is not good at all. I don't even know where you get the fact that people think they're great. I'm in Bristol watching the games with my own eyes. Watching youthsportslive is NOT seeing somebody. I have yet to give any opinions on NY, so where you get this whole "all about NY" thing from is beyond me. P.S. Conococheague was the best team in Maryland by far.  (Aug 9, 2009 | post #5)
