I am going to make the Little League coverage on Topix.Net one of the top pages on the site. The Little League tournament that leads to the Little League World Series is the greatest tournament in the world.

Murrayhill (OR) back in Northwest Region title game

Considering they have the wrong region named in some of their articles. Don't sell out with the regional's newspaper. Use the team's newspapers thats all. I was doing just fine with this crap and you come in with some garbage out of nowhere. I've been doing it since June 26th. Mid-Atlantic Should Move

The point is that NJ hasn't done squat. They've been bad a lot lately. Keep Toms River in, NJ hasn't won in over 10 years. That's terrible. Westchester has never won Section 3 because they're playing against teams from NYC. Put South Shore in Section 2 and nobody would win that section either. That's the point. if you split NY, Westchester should move to upstate considering they're not part of NYC.  (Aug 10, 2008 | post #17)

Mid-Atlantic Should Move

Yes, watered down. Delaware has actually made it to Willamsport this decade. NJ hasn't made it to the series in how long? Take out Toms River and you're talking 15 years instead of 10. You wanna give that state TWO champs? Hahaha. Metro NY isn't a bad idea as long as Westchester County is included in upstate. Otherwise, that's bogus.  (Aug 9, 2008 | post #15)

I've never seen Mill Creek or Murrayhill play, but I can tell you this much. In anyone with a brain's eyes, Mill Creek has been the regional favorite since the state tournament started. I'm a NYer and I could tell that.  (Aug 8, 2008 | post #5)

You're so off base with this. It's not even close to happening. They won't add a second team from other states for starters. That's stupid and watered down. LLWS does just fine for attendence, and holding the regional "closer" wouldn't do squat for fans. The people who would be attending attend now. It will not change much. The New England bracket doesn't draw anyone except for CT games because of the locals. That's it.  (Aug 8, 2008 | post #11)

retep... I guess that 70mph fastball was a problem for CR considering Moretti struck out 8 batters in 3 innings. The Shelton #3 came in and did the same damage. The ball that Kotchiss hit into the dark knight hasn't landed yet.  (Aug 2, 2008 | post #23)

Ohhh... I figured it out. Someone you know was left off the team. I was a young 12 when I played. I hated that some kids "caught" the birthday when they were born august 2nd. It didn't matter. I won the MVP of my league, led the league in homeruns, and we won the district title and finished farther than any team in our district ever has in the state of NY. An extremely tough state to win. Little League is great. Being 12 is great. Just work hard and have fun. The oversized kids won't grow anymore and they'll usually not play in high school.  (Jul 31, 2008 | post #18)

Retep, you have to understand that 95% of Little Leaguers are done playing baseball at the end of the regular season. The age cutoff was moved for them. Before the age cutoff, you had kids who never got to play one inning on LL as a 12 year old kid. If I was born July 15th and I wasn't one of the best 12 in my league, I'd be down playing as an 11 year old kid before my 12th birthday. That was the reason for the age change. The size of kids has not changed dramatically whatsoever in these last 2-3 years. It's the same.  (Jul 31, 2008 | post #16)

Haverstraw Little League bows to Rockville Centre

Haverstraw won both games to advance to Bristol, CT. It's a shame their newspaper doesn't care. Haverstraw is exciting team to watch. Athletic, Big, but undisciplined with a coach that is terrible.  (Jul 31, 2008 | post #3)
