Gosh. that's a whole bunch of words for the same crap you started with. Sexuality is not equal to physical action. Your first sexual thought about a person of the opposite sex, was a sexual action. Do you? Then tell me what the meaning of Romans 1 is. You know, the part you selectively quote from? There's meaning there, and it has nothing to do with the proscriptions of sexual practices. Then tell me how you reconcile all of the teachings of Paul that we, as Christians, have thrown completely out the window, because, quite simply, no one can follow them. Then address for me how you follow the teachings of CHrist, not selectively, but comprehensively. Most especially the teachings to witness and spread the word, but not to judge. I've spent much of my adult life addressing the AIDS epidemic. Believe me when I tell you I'm not waiting for people like you to end the deaths. The Gay community has a long and successful history of confronting AIDS head on and dealing with it in our community. Resident, be careful with how you sling HIV/AIDS stats around. First, 37 million is wrong. The number for North America is about 1.5 million, so if you want a number that matched your 80% number, which is also in question, try telling the truth. Second, folding up an STD as proof that gay men and women should be celibate is truly asinine. Or were you only talking about gay men? Maybe you meant that gay men should be celibate, straight women mostly celibate, straight men, sort of celibate, and lesbians can go hog wild? There is no logical correlation between celibacy and AIDS. We could have a rational discussion about monogamy, safe sex, and/or non-promiscuity. But first, you'll have to exhibit rationality. Let's approach the issue from a different angle. I'm a gay man in a 14 year monogamous relationship. Why should I, personally, be celibate?  (Tuesday Dec 15 | post #1507)
