Costa Rica is a country caught between viable economic development and protecting its vast resources, its biological diversity. It is an interesting area to study the effects of our global economy on rapidly developing small countries.
That's a great idea. I also try to translate instructions written in Spanish on labels and boxes. There are some very affordable intensive Spanish instruction schools in Costa Rica -- a really nice one in Playa Samara with lessons for around $250 a week and you can stay there too. Spanking Of Children Banned in Costa Rica
I found the children in Costa Rica to be exceptionally well-behaved and polite for the most part. In sharp contrast to the whining, fidgety, loud US tourist children -- who were completely annoying in restaurants and at the airport in Liberia.
