Rescuer: Wolf dogs are misunderstood
I agree Matt. Wolves are gentle creatures and it is only when men add the dog part that their is any aggression. So sad that people are so afraid of the natural things in our enviornment....sna kes, bears, and yes wolves. Their unjustified fear then leads to destroying these creatures of our beautiful planet. In Lake Lure as in all communities we need people to become educated on preserving rather than destoying. namaste, Russ (Jul 2, 2007 | post #3)

Lake Lure Tex Protest on July 4th
July 4Th, 9:00AM Town Hall Parking Lot of Lake Lure There will be a protest against the Counties proposed tax assessments for 2007, which have dramatically escalated to the point of that making many of our residents to consider having to find another place to live because of these huge rise in our property taxes. We have to make the County Commissioners pay attention to our plight and the only way to do so is by peaceful protest. We will be protesting Taxation without Representation this coming 4Th of July, so please join us and make your voice heard. Bring signs and join in our efforts to get the attention of the County and also the state. If you have any questions, please call Jeanine Noble in Lake Lure Let's just not talk about our taxes, let's let all know how we feel! All are welcome and encouraged to attend! Taxation in our County and nation is out of hand! (Jul 2, 2007 | post #1)
