2% here 2% there, eventually your talking about real money. It's only a $6 increase, I always laugh when someone is trying to convince me to do something based on the increase and not base on the merit of the idea.....typical liberal! the 2% falls within the range of the other cities, that's how all the other cities do it, the 1st city does the increase everyone says that's outrageous and the the 2nd and then the other cities say its within the range of the other cities Shouldn't these folks help pay for the maintenance of the roads while using their SUV's? Well they already paid the higher price to buy them(paying higher taxes), they also buy more gas for their SUV's meaning they pay more state and federal taxes on their fuel. Those taxes are suppose to go to repair and maintain the roads The hollering will come from the management and staff. Well according to your 2nd statement The hotel was built for the "corporate fat cats" who don't care about throwing money around, so they should be not enough on the hotel business according to you. So you are just making another useless statement to try and support your agenda. I will admit that I do have some issues with the TARP. I keep hearing how these businesses are too big to fail. Well if they are too big to fail are they not a Monopoly? Are not monopoly's illegal? Why have we not heard about the government forcing these companies to sell off some of their business so they will be small enough to fail?  (Oct 26, 2009 | post #9)
