What is the cancellation policy on Lake Tahoe Lodging?
Hello friends, The cancellation policies are different for every single rental property in Lake Tahoe. Generally, during the busy season the cancellation on a vacation rental in Lake Tahoe is 30 days, during the slower season it is 14 days. You can get a full refund less a small processing fee if you cancel with ample time. If you are concerned, you might consider purchasing vacation or “trip” insurance. This covers you for many things including bad weather and if someone in your traveling party gets ill and you cannot come. With trip insurance you can cancel your Lake Tahoe lodging up to the last minute and get a full refund less the cost of the insurance. It is a good deal. I don’t ski what other activities are there to do in the ...
Actually 33+% of the people who come in winter to South Lake Tahoe don’t ski or snowboard. There are some old standby activities like building a snowman or igloo, a snowball fight or making a snow angel that never get boring. Many people find snowshoeing a great way to go outside, gets some exercise and fresh air, while taking advantage of the snow, and first timers can get right into it. Other popular activities include renting snowmobiles, sledding which you can do pretty much anywhere there aren’t trees. The whole idea is to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. Thanks in advance, Robert (Jul 20, 2012 | post #1)
Hi all, My girlfriend and I are planning to go to Lake Tahoe for a few days. We'd like to be able to relax on by the water so where is the best place to stay? Thanks a lot, Robert (Jun 22, 2012 | post #1)

Hello everyone, Professional companies have fixed expenses, such as cleaning, maintenance and employees. If the price seems to low, or they are offering to pay your tax for you, or giving such a discount you can't resist, it may be fraud and you could show up at the rental, only find that it is not even a rental. All professional companies will collect bed tax; it is part of the lodging laws. If they are not collecting tax, and spelling it out on your confirmation, they are in violation on the law.
