Just another day in the life of our 'moderate' ally in the Mideast. I am waiting for Condi and the State Dept to explain this! Moderate, my axx. (Feb 8, 2008 | post #2)
U.S. Woman Jailed in Saudi Arabia
American Woman Jailed in Saudi Arabia for Sitting With Man at Starbucks Thursday, February 07, 2008 A 37-year-old American businesswoman and married mother of three is seeking justice after she was thrown in jail by Saudi Arabia's religious police for sitting with a male colleague at a Starbucks coffee shop in Riyadh, according to a report in The Times of London on Thursday. Yara, who does not want her last name published for fear of retribution, was bruised and crying when she was freed from a day in prison after she was strip-searched, threatened and forced to sign false confessions by the Kingdom's "Mutaween " police, The Times reported. "Some men came up to us with very long beards and white dresses. They asked 'Why are you here together?'. I explained about the power being out in our office. They got very angry and told me what I was doing was a great sin," recalled Yara, who wears an abaya and headscarf, like most Saudi women. The men were from Saudi Arabia's Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, a police force of several thousand men charged with enforcing dress codes, sex segregation and the observance of prayers. Yara says she was interrogated, strip-searched and forced to sign and fingerprint a series of confessions pleading guilty to her "crime," the Times reported. Yara was visited this week by officials from the American Embassy, who promised they would file a report. Israelis launch airstrike on Hamas area
Well, as an American, I certainly recognize an unfair low blow when I see it. I certainly can tell when ol' Forest Chump is turning otter's good intentions into trying to make out that the poster can't spell. Typing, G d, like this, or this, G-d, or this, G_d, is a very nice way to acknowledge His awesome power and that unlike any other name that is typed that the writer understands, accepts, and appreciates that this word, this Name is unlike any other name that is typed. It is a way of expressing how sacred, unique, and respectful the poster is in using this word. Each time a person is required to 'think' a little more. Although I may be wrong and hope someone will correct me if I am, I think this may have started in the Jewish religion as a tenet of faith, 'do not take in vain', but isn't limited to them. For sure, I know a very wise seasoned excellent professor of Western Philosophy who in lectures to 200-250 students in an open academic hall always drops his voice a cadence or two to barely a whisper as this is much more effective ...:) Forest Chump, think what you will, but I think it takes someone with a very dark bigoted heart and a smallness of spirit, to attack another poster over this. Unless you are prepared to equally attack Muslims who use the (PBUH) addition you are a bigot. IMHO (May 19, 2007 | post #56)
Israelis launch airstrike on Hamas area
And you, have you bothered to read the lies, accusations, misquotes, revisionist history, and bigoted slurs and calls to once again expel and kill Jews posted here? Have you? Exchange of ideas, interesting concept. Or do you just want an excuse to justify Palestinian terrorism and somehow disconnect that terrorism from the Islamic terrorism going on all over the world? Israelis launch airstrike on Hamas area
And so the Palestinians are killing each other and lobbing rockets into Israel. Yeah, that makes sense. (May 18, 2007 | post #37)

With money provided by the good people of the world and with weapons provided to FATAH by the U.S. which the HAMAS has stolen The rockets being fired at Israel come from the steel pipes purchased that was to have been used to fix the Palestinian sewage system. Seriously, I could not make this up if I tried... the money sent by the EU and the U.S.A. for Palestinian development... instead they stole the equipment for rockets and honest to God! .. they did not build the improved sewage system and it rained and they flooded themselves with shite.. Even though Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005 I am sure that someone will figure out another nutty way to try to blame Israel ... you just can't fix stupid. King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia is left with egg on his face, and probably out another million or two in pocket change. He brokers a peace deal between Palestinians and it last all of what 2-3 weeks? If I were him I would be really pizzed, he's sponsored Saudi TV telethons for the families of the Palestinian suicide bombers, he's sent millions to HAMAS and FATAH all those years only to find that HAMAS and FATAH will also take money from Iran, when Iran offers it, and now the Palestinians have very publicly dissed him. Not by killing Israelis but by fighting against each other. Serenity0731, I agree with everything you said. (May 18, 2007 | post #36)

Gunmen, Not Leaders, Rule in Gaza Fight
Yes, and where are all the Palestinian propagandists and apologists? Must be a tough job ... (May 18, 2007 | post #2)
That makes no sense. What were the commuters in Spain doing? What were the school children slaughtered in Beslan doing? What were the Philippinos doing? Terrorism is terrorism is terrorism and it is happening all over the world. Terrorism committed by Palestinians is no different. (May 18, 2007 | post #14864)
King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Quran, Madinah Provision of copies of the Holy Quran In the Holy City of Madinah stands the King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Quran. The Complex is a unique publishing venture. It was opened by King Fahd in 1984 with the aim of printing and distributing copies of the Holy Quran to as wide an audience as possible. It produces the Holy Quran in Arabic and, in translation, in many other languages. It produces the Holy Book as a whole and in sections. When operating a single-shift system, the Complex is able to produce 10 million copies of the Holy Quran each year. On a three-shift operation, the Complex is able to produce 30 million copies. Since its inauguration, the Complex has produced more than 60 editions, amongst them copies of the Holy Quran in full, sections of the Holy Quran, translations of the Holy Quran, recordings of verses of the Holy Quran, books on the prophetic tradition and biographies of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. The Complex has translated the Meanings of the Holy Quran into more than twenty languages, including Bengali, Bosnian, Chinese, English, French, Korean, Somali, Thai, Turkish and Urdu. Translations of the Meanings of the Holy Quran into many other languages are under way. By the year 2000, the Complex had printed 138 million copies of the Holy Quran which had been widely distributed inside the Kingdom (through the Two Holy Mosques, other Mosques and Government and religious institutions) and abroad (through embassies, overseas information offices and Islamic organizations). The Complex also produces recordings of the Holy Quran, read by the most respected readers within and outside the Kingdom, in video and audio form. In a further and much needed initiative designed to make the teaching of Islam as widely and easily accessible as possible, the Complex produced a Braille version of the Holy Quran so that every blind Muslim, anywhere in the world, can have ready access to the Word of God. In fulfilling the wishes of King Fahd, the Complex has become much more than a printing and distribution operation. It is a preeminent study and research facility for all aspects of the Holy Quran and stands as an authority on the Book of God and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. http://www.kingfah dbinabdulaziz.com/ main/m600.htm You are right, Tina, and brave to tell the truth. NaR is simply wrong. Imagine 138 Million Copies of the most fundamental anti-Jewish anti-Christian possible. (May 18, 2007 | post #14844)
Hamas Kills 5 at Gaza Border Crossing
Sorry, I agree with you up to the point of blaming one party or the other. I don't think any administration has ever really leveled with us (the people) on the threats of Islamic terrorism, who funds it, who supports it, and I am tired of all the stuttering and appeasement and kissing up our leaders - on both sides- do in downplaying the Gulf petro states involvement and the Persian Shia role in Iran in funding terror. All of them wince and dodge and drop their voices and get very vague when asked direct questions in hearings before the Congress or Senate .. I don't hate Bush and I support our troops and want my country to spare nothing to find them. You know, I could be wrong but, I think most people are hesitant to say anything about our troops right now because they don't want to squirrel any information or ongoing negotiations our military may be engaged in.. or something our DOD or State is working on.. at least I would like to think so (May 18, 2007 | post #65)
Insane Islamic barbarism.... I agree. Yeah, imagine if you lived in a Palestinian or Islamic society where the only uniting principle seemed to be your hatred of and enjoyment in blowing up others.. even 'moderates' of your own kind. Even when the Palestinians don't have a hand in terror directly they sure seem to be the first to cheer on the latest Islamic terrorists bombing anywhere in the world, you know? Think about this - the Palestinians are killing each other while setting off bombs in their own schools and internet cafes and universities while at the same time finding the money and effort to lob bombs into Israeli villages while at the same time giving interviews to western journalists saying the Israelis and the west is responsible for not paying us (blackmail) er.. aid money... and at the same time, at the same time, defiantly running Islamic Mickey Mouse rat on TV, thumbing their noses at the west, while making King Abdullah look like a chump for hosting an inter-Palestinian peace conference between them! Those rockets get in and used because they would rather blow up their own and Israel instead of do the hard work and build a society, a state, and hold themselves accountable for themselves. I hope so too.. but I am not holding my breath, you know? (May 18, 2007 | post #392)
