Since God guides me not to just kill others who piss me off, cos that just sets them free and brings a whole lotta shit my way? Why wouldn't God smack me in the same logic circuits when it comes to who I have sex with? Instead God gave me the ability to enjoy the physical sensation we call orgasm, and explore many paths to that end. And equipped me with a high IQ and advanced logic circuits. Logic tells me that if you intend to produce offspring from the event, you require a male and a female to combine the seed. However, if the intention is simply to enjoy the path to orgasm, then it really doesn't matter, so long as both, or all, are consensual.  (Jul 14, 2008 | post #12918)

You get your ideas of what is right or wrong from men. The men of the church who have taught you what they have been taught to believe. It is perhaps true that the authors of the original documents upon which the Bible is based where trying to put into writing what they believed God was teaching them. However Christianity is based on a compilation of several hundred generations of translations and interpretations (of man's) through many languages before coming to the plethora of modern versions of these writings, which people are told to accept, on faith, as the words of God. As the writings of men, the Bible should NOT be read as God's own writing. The Bible should be read and then questioned before God , in your heart. That is where God speaks to each and every one of us individually, to instruct us and guide us personally. God really is the best bullshit filter.  (Jul 13, 2008 | post #12917)

Why are you lot so afraid of the unknown? You can not shape what you do not know. You are so afraid of the great unknown that you spend your lives trying to explain it in comfortable terms, like "Here Be Dragons" (pity I can't write that in gothic script). It gives definition to something indefinable in the terms of our experience thus far. If you believe in God then accept that all will be revealed in time. Accept that God will guide each and every one of us along different paths to gain the collective emotional experience to endure what lies ahead. Let God guide you by the heart. Take strength from God when the going gets tough. Be aware that God also sets traps to distract us along the way to test our mettle. A most poetic contradiction. Worthy of a "true believerMale or Female is gender, sex acts are purely physical and one always has a choice of who to engage in those sex acts with. But one's sexuality is ones nature. If I spend the rest of my days living my life as I do now, devoted in the love and care for my man, but never engage in physical sex, does that make us then both heterosexual? No. Of course not.
