4yr old recovers after blood transfusion
I agree with everything you say except mine wasn't a retort it was a headline observation the biggest factor in the recovery equation wasn't the blood transfusion it was the urgent successful surgery. I understand why it was a story but the headline should read "4yr old recovers after surgery" to give survival credit to the blood transfusion is misleading. We just don't know if that is the case. In the cases that go to court, no one can ever say with 100% certainty if a blood transfusion saved the persons life or if they would have recovered on their own. The headline on this story is very misleading. (Tuesday Nov 3 | post #80)
US 167 from Canada to Intracoastal City is the only way to go. Once Lafayette builds a loop around the city, Johnston Street/Louisiana Avenue traffic will drop considerably and Vermilion Parish will have a straight shot from Intracoastal City to I-10 (Aug 4, 2009 | post #1)

Lafayette Woman Buys City's First Smart Car
I am not so sure about her being first, then again perhaps she was first and the story is running late. There are others though, a cute black one is parked on Congress in the lot next to Iberia Bank. Another Smartcar (with an orange stripe and no other graphics) can be seen week days just after 7am heading north on Evangiline Thruway. (May 24, 2008 | post #1)
