Florida - Shaken Baby: Day in Court
Thank you for sharing this with us... I haven't been able to read the whole site yet, but from what I have read, all I can say is WOW !! (Wednesday Nov 25 | post #6351)

I agree Judah. It makes no sense to me. In a way, it feels like when I was in high school and people said horrible things about the physically and mentally challenged kids. I don't care what side of this case anyone is on. You don't pick on babies and children. (Friday Nov 20 | post #6314)

I am sorry that you felt Judah's comment was shoving prayes on to you. I don't think that's what she was trying to do. I'm not her so I can only speak for myself here. I think that Judah was merely trying to show you that people who do have faith in God DO pray and know that their prayers are answered. You also stated that Kaleb isn't better. I can see how you might see it that way. We see what we see because K has posted some of this things that this baby HAS improved on. It DOES give all of us, on both sides of this case, hope that he will continue to improve to some extent. I know realistically, that he will never be fully healed, but he has improved some so the healing is happening. God DOES answer prayers, maybe just not what we want to see and not in our time, but HIS time. Based on your post name here, you do pray to something or someone. I don't claim to know your beliefs, nor do I shove my beliefs upon anyone. Telling someone that they will pray for you is not shoving their beliefs on anyone. (Thursday Nov 19 | post #6294)

Random, I know we don't see eye to eye on anything else on this forum, but I will say that I totally agree with your statement here. (Thursday Nov 19 | post #6293)

I agree... You can't tell me that what ever lies within the medical files wasn't explained to her (K). Correct me if I'm wrong, but doctors don't just say one thing to your face and then put something totally different in the medical files. Even if they did, what I don't understand is that you would think the prosecution would also have checked those files. Why in blazes name didn't they look into things as well before this case went this far? Are they (the prosecution) really that intent on screwing up people's lives? I mean I can see filing charges against someone for suspected abuse, but then do your job and read the medical files and retract your charges and apologize, within a REASONABLE amount of time. I hope if someone has the medical files for both sides, that they will fully look into things before this farce of a trial goes any further. Who knows, maybe the defense is actually doing THEIR job and checking things out. Maybe that's why there is another continuance on the records. (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #6260)

Ok, hit the button too soon. I was wondering about my above statement because as a mother, you should know something isn't right, just like she stated to the media, that night. I don't have any proof, but IMO, I believe she knew. I believe she knew this when the media started running this story and I believe she enjoyed her 15 mins of fame. When the trial is over and it is proven that this was a medical condition and not abuse, I sure hope that some government agency will look into her acts of negligence towards Kalebs health care. Again, the above statements are just my opinion, thoughts and feelings and are not based on facts. (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #6255)

I agree with you. This to me shows the charactor of R. I mean, come on. If she was guilty, would she really want to sit in jail and want people to find the truth? She would just take her chances in court. While we're on the subject, I think someone mentioned this before, I'm not sure. If K KNEW Kaleb was this sick and didn't inform the doctors of this when he was admitted to the hospital for the alleged abuse, wouldn't that make her culpable in his disability now? OMGoodness... Mark Never mentioned you name and I don't think he was even implying it was you. I could see and understand where you might think this if you and him were the only 2 people on the face of the earth, but you're not. If I am wrong, I will admit it, but I think he was talking about people in general... and not singling you out dear. (Friday Nov 13 | post #6232)

I very much agree with you on this.... Why more doctors won't take that extra minute to thoroughly examine someone is beyond me. I personally would rather pay the extra money for tests that may seem unnecessary and for them to find something, than to just be whisked in and out and not have a clear answer. It's happened to me before. Also, psstt... before the typo police show up, (shhhh) you misspelled a word...investigate ... you spelled unvestigate... LOL just thought I'd point that out... Just messing with you.. and trying to make some humor. Sorry if it offends you (Thursday Nov 12 | post #6221)

I didn't condradict myself in anyway shape or form. But you know what Michaela, Random, Believer? Go ahead and think what you want, but I choose to believe that he/she who defends themselves excessivly is usually the guilty party. I wish you nothing but happiness and joy today and esch and every day of your life. I mean that with the utmost sincerity. I'm tying to do as agape would like... and be civil and nice to each other, no matter if we feel the other person deserves it or not. (Thursday Nov 12 | post #6215)
