'Person of trust' faces sex charges
even if you admit to police, you still have to go to trial and enter a plea. US Constitution mandates a trial, even if it is only long enough for you to plea guilty and accept whatever punishment doled out. (Oct 14, 2009 | post #46)
Patricia Columbo denied parole
Millions of people, myself included, have had abuse filled childhoods. This does not excuse criminal behavior. In fact, most people grow up and try to make the word a better place. Patricia did not decide to do that. She acted on her own free will and killed innocent people. She ultimately got caught and got what she deserved (Oct 10, 2009 | post #108)

Mundelein sidewalk plan raises questions
It is legal to park in the street in Mundelein, it is not legal to park in a public right of way reserved for pedestrian traffic. That is a different issue than the public use of public land. If you are that concerned about it, I would suggest you lobby the mayor for a change to street parking laws, perhaps going back to the village sticker requirement? It makes sense in some areas of Mundelein. Out side of carrying the blind person or somehow moving the offending car who should I have helped the blind person? There were snow drifts on either side of the sidewalk and a car in crossing the path. She had to back track to another driveway and enter the street. At the time I was recuppertating from a surgery. So I would say I was not jerk at all. People blocking sidewalks are indeed jerks however... (Aug 27, 2009 | post #5)

Mundelein sidewalk plan raises questions
By law their driveway does not include the easement where the sidewalk is. I agree wholehaetedly with the need to enforce occupancy codes, but blocking a public right of way needs to enforced. I have seen a blind person have to back track in winter to go around some car blocking her path in a sidewalk. She had to walk in the street filled with packed snow to get around this jerk (who had a garage and room to pull up). (Aug 26, 2009 | post #3)
Mundelein sidewalk plan raises questions
Along with new sidewalks how about ticketing people for parking their cars across sidewalks? Especially when there is a major snow fall. Cars parked illegally across sidewalks forces kids to walk in the street. (Aug 26, 2009 | post #1)

Well, I believe in the soul, the small of a woman’s back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated @#&*. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.
