Concealed carry does not make us safer
If you see "Billy Bob" start blasting in a store or parking lot,you may have just witnessed an American hero disposing of a "Joe Criminal" who was in the process of committing a crime. (Yesterday | post #20)

Other than post # 18566 on this page, when did you say that you acknowledge that there are links to a blog that list his contact info? I was up until 4am last night and I covered 175 pages. I saw comments where you acknowledged that links were posted to his website but no contact info was listed on the website except an e-mail address. (Yesterday | post #18579)

Fear not Tuco! In my recently declared search for the truth I stumbled upon some very interesting info while breezing through old pages on this thread. I will share it with everyone as soon as I get the chance. Sofa King, you may want to sit down awhile. (Friday | post #18577)

Revolvers are typically more reliable. When a revolver fails to fire it is usually the fault of the ammunition. In the case of a true mechanical failure, however,I would rather clear a malfunction from a pistol than try to free up a jammed cylinder on a revolver during an emergency situation. Good for you! Go with what works best I always say. I can see how the side draw purse could be awkward. (Thursday Nov 26 | post #18528)

Gunshow has posted the link to his website, which contains his contact info, numerous times on this thread. That part is not a lie. I have found 5 links to date and I intend to scan every page until I get a total count. (Thursday Nov 26 | post #18527)

You took the words right out of my mouth, they should pay you! I agree with your requirements for a self defense gun. DAO is the only way to go. (Tuesday Nov 24 | post #18480)

What method of carry will you use for your 642? I carry my Kahr CW9 9mm in a IWB holster in the small of my back. It weighs 15.8 oz. empty. I can go 8-12 hours before it bothers me. I carry my Kel Tec P32 .32 caliber in a pocket holster. It weighs 6.6 oz. empty. My wallet weighs more. LOL ! Let me know what kind of groups you get once you get more practice time in. I assume that you purposely put the dollar sign between the S and W. LOL! So true. The 642 is a very nice revolver. Can you list the specs such as weight, caliber and action? How well did it perform at the range. Rumor has it that you carry Silly String as a backup. Any truth to that? LOL ! (Tuesday Nov 24 | post #18468)

The only problem I have with Glock is their grips are so fat. It always feels like I am picking up a baseball bat by the wrong end. The only Glock that feels even remotely comfortable is the Glock 21SF.I may end up going with the Glock in the end because I am not a big fan of the grip safety,or any manual safety for that matter. I do have a Smith & Wesson Sigma 9mm that is based on the Glock. I have not had any problems with it. When you finally break down and get the Kel Tec PF9,let me know what you think of it. A second opinion is always nice. (Tuesday Nov 24 | post #18467)

I wouldn't trade my Kahr CW9 for anything. I have yet to see a Kahr P380 in person. I believe Kel Tec gets a bad rap. I have not had any problems with my .32 since I figured out that Winchester FMJ works best. Hollow points do not feed well unless you get the magazine spacer. I was also looking at getting a Kel Tec PF9 until the owner of a local gun shop told me he would not recommend it. He stands behind anything Kel Tec makes but he said that the PF9 is just too much power in such a light package to be anywhere near accurate. I will take his word for it. The Nemesis Really does perform as advertised. Best $15 I ever spent. Have you tried any of the Springfield XD or XDm line? I hope to purchase an XD45 in the near future.
