Article in East Arkansas Advertiser: "Tired of strays?

I am simply stating a fact. Dr. Gehring does set his accounts up with the FCAHS as a co-owner, if the FCAHC pays for the animal to be stayed or neutered. So does that not make them half owner of the animal? It seems to me that before you call me silly or paranoid, you might want to investigate. Being informed does not make me an idiot. I just think people have the right to know all the fact before making a decision on whether to pay for the service themselves or to apply for assistance from the FCAHS. Why would you assume that I work for Dr. Roundtree? Do you have something against Dr. Roundtree? I have never used him, but from what I have heard he appears to be good vet. Nor, am I questioning Dr. Gehring's reputation as a good vet, I am just not sure that I agree with his accounting practices.  (Nov 19, 2012 | post #14)

$1000 reward for return of buddy

Dear Wired fordogs, I couldn't agree more with you. And, I have only talked to the creep when I was trying to get my Buddy back. He know exactly where Buddy was, but had no intention of telling me. I am sure that Buddy's adoption meant money for Binky. He is not the type that would do anything out of the goodness of his heart. And, as far as bad rep. I have always heard that where you smell smoke there is usually fire. No one gets that kind of reputation without just cause. I just hope someday the authorities have enough on that guy to shut his operations down for good. I have no time for individuals that harm children or animals. To me they are the worst kind of creeps.  (Nov 15, 2012 | post #66)

$1000 reward for buddy's return

Thank you so much for your kind words and "Yes," it was a terrible thing to go through. No one know what it is like to not know if the pet that you love is being loved and cared for like he/she deserves to be. Buddy was a "Great" dog. Retrievers are very intelligent and Buddy was no exception. He kept our other dogs from doing things they were not suppose to like chasing cars. Buddy has been gone for over a year. It was a year, July 19, 2012. I have sent flyers throughout WI, as well as ads in local newspapers up there but have never been able to find anyone that know his whereabouts. I can only pray that the people that have him are giving him all the love and care that he so richly deserves.  (Nov 15, 2012 | post #6)

$1000 reward for buddy's return

Yes, I know because my husband and I took the picture of our dog Buddy, but it will not help you search for Buddy because he is not in Forrest City, Arkansas anymore. He was transported to somewhere in Wisconsin by certain members of the FCAHC and a group of transporters that are transporting dogs all over the country. He was dropped off in Phillips, WI and Binky Lavoie was the one who made arrangements for his adoption to a family up there in WI. I was sent a picture of a headless man picking him up, but was never able to find out anyother information from that point on. I have sent flyers out to vets and anminal clinics up there but no one has ever located him or anyone that even recognizes the vehicle. It was a black SUV and from the picture I estimate the man to be in his late 30s or early 40s. Anyway, the picture came from my deck in Forrest City, AR.  (Nov 15, 2012 | post #5)

I was concerned about this article by David Nichol regarding the FCAHS offering to spay and neuter animals for free. What the article nor Ms. Hicks tells you is that if you have Dr. Gehring perform this procedure on your animals, it gives the FCAHS half ownership in your pet. A P.O. - Janie Hicks is placed on your account at Dr. Gehring's office. They say it is just for billing purposes, but that is not entirely true, because they can use this to claim ownership of your animal just as they did Buddy. But, you don't have to believe me. You are welcome to ask for yourself. Please just make sure that you know the whole truth before allowing Janie Hicks or the FCAHS to pay for any procedure if you truly love your pet. I just believe that the citizens of Forrest City should know the whole truth before taking Ms. Hicks or the FCAHS up on their offer. I do agree though animals need to be spayed and neutered. I am just not sure that the offer by the FCAHS or Janie Hicks is a wise choice if the offer could mean losing your beloved pet at the hands of some members of the FCAHS or Janie Hicks.  (Nov 15, 2012 | post #1)

KTBG, You seem to want to make the FSAHS the victim of this situation, but the only victim I see is Buddy. In my opinion Gay Schwartz could have stopped all this before it ever reached this point, but apparently she chose not too. Buddy was taken July 19, and was transported to Southaven, MS. Where Tonya Hopper Hogan kept him until July 24th, when he was transported to the new adopter on July 25th. So, Gay had 6 days in which to return Buddy before he was given up to the new adopter. She called me twice in that time period and both times I returned her call, but she never bothered to call me back, was it because she knew they were in the wrong by coming out into the county, where they have no jurisdiction to take Buddy? She could have taken control of the situation and made things right, because she is the one with the power in this town, not me. My suggestion to her is to put a leash and muzzle on her so called president before she does any more damage to the FSAHS's reputation. If their reputation is tarnished, they have done it to themselves. It is nothing that I have done, remember I am the one that everyone thinks is crazy.  (Oct 18, 2011 | post #72)

Dear Criminals, you have to do what you feel is the right thing to do. As I said before, we all have to answer for our own actions, either in this life or in the next. So if you feel that in your heart that you are doing the right thing then you much follow your conscience. And, I don't feel you were misleading me. I feel that you simply changed your mind. I will only ask one thing from you because I know you are a decent person. Please next Sunday, say a prayer for my Buddy that he is in a good home where he is happy and loved. Thank you and God Bless You and Your Wife.  (Oct 16, 2011 | post #70)

Criminals, We can meet but please make this a private conversation. Can you send me a private message regarding a meeting. I feel there may be another person that may be interested as well, especially after they read Binky's arrest record. Thank You Reward for Dog.  (Oct 15, 2011 | post #67)

Dear This is crazy, Very good point. Maybe putting an ad in the paper to try and bring some other animal lovers together might be a start. I have never done anything like this before, but am willing to try if it helps the animals and the city of Forrest City. Perhaps I could get some suggestions from organizations and rescues I have been in contact with over the course of the last few months on how to get a movement like this started. Thank you for the suggestion.  (Oct 14, 2011 | post #61)

Dear Rewardneesterminx, If being passionate about something makes me have termites in my brain, than I am happy to wear your label. I pray that you find something in your live to be that passionate about. Not every person knows how to love a dog, but every dog knows how to love a person. The love I have for my dogs and the love they have for me, is a gift that I treasure.  (Oct 14, 2011 | post #60)
