you folks should try living in another town/state - a large city to be more precise. Now talk about RUDE People! The rudest of the rude are out there - way out of Mullens City Limits. To the credit of folks that work in places where they have to deal with the Public - it can be tough, but that's part of the job. Smile and know "the customer is always right"... no excuse for rudesness - in Mullens, HighPoint, NC, or New York City!! just my opinion. (Tuesday Sep 9 | post #52)
Wyoming County Man Charged in a Stabbing
Congrats to You and Snag! Hope your wedding was wonderful. (Tuesday Sep 9 | post #21)
Dude! I would if I lived there! However, I live in NC. Looks like your IP is a little closer - have at it! (Aug 26, 2008 | post #48)
Seems to be ashamed of owning it, eh? I agree - clean it up! It's too much of an icon in Mullens to be so run down. I was in Mullens for Dogwood and it was awful then, I can only imagine now that 3 months have gone by. Pride in ownership??? (Aug 26, 2008 | post #35)
Thank you! Thank you! Best thing I've seen on here in weeks (other than PArTuie's posts! :o)) Why can't we use this site for the Good things about Mullens and West Virginia instead of bashing them and gossiping? I know that's asking a lot with an open forum, but it is definitely a good thought... imagine that. (Aug 11, 2008 | post #55)
Hey PArTuie - hope you're doin' well! Your posts are what brings me back to Topix... Thanks for the smile... :o) (Aug 11, 2008 | post #54)
I doubt it you are 'bothering or annoying' him. PArTuie actually thrives on that stuff... heh heh heh (Aug 1, 2008 | post #35)

Sweet! a pink pistol sounds like the BOMB! (Jul 31, 2008 | post #6)
Now, THAT, is the most insightful comment I've seen. Wow... that is very suspicious PArTuie... very, very suspicious. (Jul 31, 2008 | post #29)
Who thinks Topix should be taken off the web
Wow Antithesis, didnt you just change your name? (Oversight!) hmmmm.... (Jul 31, 2008 | post #89)
Why are you backing up now Oversight? I do think you were trying to insult me, my family and my religion! What gives you the right to tell me to stop invoking God in my posts? I dont have to explain anything to you or anyone else on this site or anywhere for that matter - except for GOD... and he knows everything. I do take offense to you calling me a liberal - you do not know me. I'm just hoping my parents get something out of this lawsuit because they need help getting their home back to it being liveable again. They are elderly and on fixed incomes and need help getting their house fixed. Call if as you will - liberal, antibusiness, whatever - makes no difference to me. I've been called worse - by better. regarding the medical issues - no I dont have any proof - just dead relatives and friends. I'll give you that one. (Jul 30, 2008 | post #22)
My parents were not so lucky - and they werent flooded by a river - it was water running off railroad tracks/mountain above that flooded their house. I am not a liberal-anything so keeop your name calling to yourself. I've never condoned sueing for any "little" thing that comes along - but when folks are hurt and lose most of the things they worked all their lives for, then someone should be held responsible, if they are the cause. And for your information, Mr. Oversight - they do have flood insurance, but it doesnt cover what happened to their home. And then there's the nasty water they've had to deal with for the last 7 years in Mullens. No, that's not the corporations involved fault, but the flood did a lot of damage. Folks are getting cancers and respiratory diseases that havent been seen before in that area. I know, my uncle died form one of them. So, cast your stones - I know God will make it all right in the long run. And maybe, just maybe, he'll see to it that these folks are compensated for what the big corps have done to our mountains and homes. :op (Jul 29, 2008 | post #17)
God isnt the one that cut down all the trees and is destroying Our Earth! Anything to save a dollar leads to disasters like what happened in Mullens in July '01. Amen! (Jul 28, 2008 | post #7)
