Best RPH resigns!!!!

I too saw the writing on the wall and left Wags in 2008 after 22 years with the company. I truly feel sorry for all those that are still stuck in that rat hole.  (Jan 2, 2014 | post #10)

I'm so glad I'm gone.

I visit this site on occasion just to see and learn how the rest of you are coping. As my name explains, I quitired from Wags 5 years ago. I slaved for the company for 22 years and could very plainly read the writing on the wall. We constantly had a RPH shortage and I got over that problem very quickly. "You want me to work extra and not pay me time and a half. Sorry, I'm busy recuperating from my 80 hour shift." Thirty years ago, it was a good company to work for. The stock would split about every two years, profit sharing was great, and the store managers actually cared about the work staff. It was really like a big family. Well guess what. Somebody (The Ivory Tower Dwellers) decided the family shouldn't be happy and the work environment went to hell. Y'all keep plugging and chugging while I'm content to read all your complaints.  (May 31, 2013 | post #1)

Pharmacist Lunch ?

Third shift RPh for 14 years. I loved it when a customer would say, "Wow you sure are lucky to get to eat while you work." Yep, I sure am. Get to grab a bite of something cold while I operate the entire department by myself.  (Jul 24, 2012 | post #8)

Vacation Question

I am so happy that I left Walgreen's in 2008. The company at that time was just starting to treat employees like cattle. I gave a 30 day notice the end of December and left the end of January 2008. At that time, I did receive all vacation for 2008 as that started a new year, not prorated. I wake up everyday so thankful that I no longer have to put up with all the stupid stuff the "Higher Ups" used to ask of us.  (Jul 19, 2012 | post #6)
