** Vikes the best in NFC **

We're not done improving. expect the defense to continue to improve with the addition of antoine winfield. i hear he's pretty good ;) . in addition, with two new starting o-lineman, every snap they improve. Look for the run blocking to improve with their experience and look for Hutch's back to improve for the playoffs. This team is getting better, where as the aints will be coming back to earth. expect average margin of victory to grow.  (Thursday | post #13)

**** Life Is Good ****

Vikes are looking more solid than any vikes team i have ever seen at this phase of a season. the 15-1 squad was one dimensional & had a poor defense, for instance. 1978 was a good squad, as was 1987, but this team is better. Apparantly, my tossing a virgin into a volcano as tribute to the gods worked on getting Favre to sign. all was lost without him &, frankly, i don't think we'll miss that kid from houston.  (Tuesday Nov 24 | post #2)

** Vikes the best in NFC **

wow, i guess the spammers grade posts now. i provide a link to an article with no comment & i get graded nuts, clueless, etc. hilarious people have nothing better to do. Oh, and I'd have to agree with your comment. vikes are the best as we have the most complete team & the MVP at QB thus far. Team's gonna jell nicely.  (Tuesday Nov 24 | post #4)

Amazing. remember, he was taxed on that 2 million. Huge number. Amazing individual.  (Tuesday Nov 24 | post #26)

** Vikes the best in NFC **

http://www.sportin gnews.com/nfl/arti cle/2009-11-23/wee k-11-checkdown-sai nts-colts-no-longe r-nfls-best-teams "Why the Vikings are the NFC's best: 1. A better defensive line. New Orleans has wilted against strong running teams, but the Vikings' Williams Wall continues to stuff ballcarriers. Then when opponents try to pass on Minnesota, Jared Allen cleans up the quarterbacks. 2. A better lead back. The Saints' three-man committee has been effective, but it's hard to see their front seven containing Adrian Peterson in a playoff game, be it in the Superdome or Metrodome. 3. An equally good QB. For as much attention Drew Brees receives, Brett Favre might be playing at a level we've never seen from him. It also should be remembered that Favre has won before on the biggest stage."  (Monday Nov 23 | post #1)

Who do you want the Viking get in the draft

Yes, there was some chester/AD, but the play that sticks out was poorly concieved. AD lead block for chester around right side. The LB's all followed AD & found chester, of course. But it's a start. Loadholt's maybe been our second best lineman. Mckinney first. Hutch has been nicked up with a back issue. hopefully, he comes on-line soon. Sullivan's maybe why we can't run. loadholt's gotta get lower on run blocking- my only criticism of him that's more than ticky-tack. Chester had his good runs when subbing in, to answer that question. Your comparison to 1991 is a little off in my book. This team is much more similar to the 1987 vikings team that because of 3 strike losses finished 8-7 then went on the road & destroyed the 13-3 saints & then the 14-2 49rs before losing to the eventual SB champion washington redskins on a darren nelson drop at the goal line on fourth down. 'Skins got to play one of those one dimensional pass happy denver teams (see: this year's saints) & destroyed them. So, 4th & game inside the ten, no passes to AD. Compare the teams: fearsome pass rush, (millard/doleman), good run stoppers (browner), AC/CC/TK, Nelson, AC returning kicks in post-season, Jordan as TE. Now, this year we have a serious upgade at QB & RB compared to that squad. This D-line is seriously upgraded since all four positions are solid. This LB core is better. That team had a better secondary. (but asher allen's coming on. hopefully, paymah's time is almost done.) That team had the better recievers, but it's maybe close in time & favre v. Kramer? that makes this years recievers look pretty good. I'd give the nod to this o-line, i think, but close. Jordan over shank, but close. Basically, this is the better team because of QB & RB (no way 13-7 score with Favre at helm in NFC championship game; kramer must have been sober for that game :( )  (Monday Nov 23 | post #57)

****2009 NFC North Predictions****

Frankly, no team in the NFC matches up with the vikes. we're too potent weather running or passing, playing special teams, or defense. Vikes Own the superdome, so i really am not even concerned about homefield advantage. with a first round bye, (no way vikes don't get it), we're in the superbowl. I like our chances. ;)  (Sunday Nov 22 | post #83)

5 more years

aaah, boys, let's not fight. the important thing is vikes have favre & TJ's soon to be out of here. Really, i am not even worried about when he's gone. Rosenhaus will take his client elsewhere & we'll have to go another direction. As long as chilly keeps good enough players to make up for his game management skills, i see no problems. all is right in the world. Say it with me: 8-1  (Friday Nov 20 | post #18)

Mike Tomlin shows he was the Steelers' right man all along

Your arguement would mean the lawyer who wrote the contract would be someone who doesn't know how to write a contract including a basic clause. The contract would include language stating if any part of the contract is ruled invalid, it does not invalidate the entire contract. (severability) Again, basically you don't have a clue what you're talking about. The state can not write a law which applies to only NFL players, this would be a violation of the equal protection clause of the constitution. again, you're clueless. As for the vikings deciding to leave or the NFL making them, if these lawyers are so stupid as to be unaware of the laws in the states where they have operated for 50 years, then moving sure isn't going to help them. They are clueless, then. Again, the NFL is not the employer, the vikings are. That's how they claim not to violate federal antitrust laws. If the NFL wished, they could just impliment a policy saying the vikings must forfeit any games the williams wall played in until the matter was resolved in court. That is, the NFL could act like the NCAA's or high school league. But sport is not what the NFL is about, is it? The NFL couldn't care less about moving out of a state for any reason other than bottom line. It's a business, not an olympic or even college sport. If you watch the NFL for reasons other than entertainment (like WWE) then i think you have problems. The "drug" the williams took is a drug that makes you lose water weight - like maybe caffine. Basically, it could be used as a steroid masking agent. Anyway, the NFL's drug policies are a joke. You'd have to be really stupid to fail them (or, in the williams case, have a manufacture lie about contents of pills) if you wanted to use steeler-iods.  (Wednesday Nov 11 | post #139)

All employers must follow the laws of the states they operate in. Walmart & target must also follow minnesota law. I'm unclear on how this could be confusing for you. The constitution of the United States says what the federal government may regulate. Find me the football takes precidence over state law clause.  (Sunday Nov 8 | post #137)
