Four state teams make NCAA tourney

Considering that we were hoping for a .500 season and NIT bid at the beginning of the season, I'm thrilled we are in the NCAA. The loss to Illinois and the loss at OSU hurt us. We can certainly beat Baylor and Xavier/Georgia so I think we got a pretty good draw. A Sweet-16 appearance would be absolutely wonderful but they are going to have to play their butts off. Go Boilers!!!!  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #290)

Did either team win the game? It doesn't matter who played them the best -- both Purdue and Butler lost to Florida. Move on, its stupid to argue this topic.  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #289)

The only people in the country who are still focused on Wofford is IU fans who don't have a clue about college BB. Maybe you should worry about IU's troubles instead.  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #288)

Gonso to lead search for IU coach

It would be a hoot considering his history and IU then the fine leadership of the Pacers. Glad they are not letting Greenspan make the decision alone. Good luck to the Hoosiers on this one. I hope they get it right this time. I have a feeling we'll be playing a team coached by one of the potential contenders for the job.  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #15)

I too must wish all Indiana teams good luck in the tourney. Let's hope they all play well and show that teams from this state know the game and perform magnificently.  (Mar 16, 2008 | post #187)

The committee looks at all games and I'm pretty sure they are not biased. You on the other hand stay focused on old news. Do you have some form of dementia and can only recall the past? IU lost its last 3 games. At least Purdue had a win on an away court during the last week.  (Mar 16, 2008 | post #172)

I also was shocked at Butler's 7 seed. I thought they might be a 5. I guess they looked at their schedule of teams played in the Horizon league. Not saying its fair, just trying to figure out the committee's thinking.  (Mar 16, 2008 | post #156)

As you said, the polls and the RPI don't mean anything because they have a foundation based on subjective data. Purdue fell to a 6-seed because I think our young guys hit the wall. IU fell to an 8 because they haven't played as a team for a number of games. Purdue won on the road against some good teams and IU didn't which is why I think they wound up 6 & 8.  (Mar 16, 2008 | post #152)

Boilers bounced

Have you read the "comments " from the so called IU fans? We don't waste our time acting like morons.  (Mar 16, 2008 | post #55)

Kramer takes blame for OT loss by Boilers

Good luck in the Big Dance Boilers!!! Play hard -- the team you are going against will good and will be playing as hard as they can regardless of their seeding.  (Mar 16, 2008 | post #1)

Hoosiers try to forget another upset loss

I can agree with everything you said concerning the decisions made by Greenspan. He's an idiot and the guy who will hire your next coach. That's really scary. I would disagree with your statement about the fans. About half of them are knowledgeable of basketball and good fans. My best friend on earth fits in this category. The other half are just sad, uneducated excuses for fans. They **** off every college basketball fan in the nation with their moronic comments.  (Mar 16, 2008 | post #5)

Illini earn shot to become lowest-seeded champion

Good luck to the Illini. Bruce Weber and Jay Price will always be part of the Boiler Nation and we'll always pull for you guys when you're not playing Purdue. Go out and win against Wisconsin so you can go to the Big Dance.  (Mar 16, 2008 | post #2)

Illinois upsets No. 17 Purdue 74-67 in OT

They are kids who are feeling the pressure. They are learning what it takes to win. They should be fine in coming years if Painter can get a post presence guy to come here and solify the rebounding. Calasan played his heart out but just isn't big enough. We were gassed for some reason -- Moore couldn't hit a thing and they all looked like their legs were gone. In OT, as Keady said in the post-game, the wrong people were shooting. But, maybe the rest will do them good -- give Painter a chance to get some corrections on who the shooters are and work on containing the dribble and rebounding. The guys played hard and aggressive -- that's all we can ask. Hail Purdue!!!  (Mar 14, 2008 | post #102)
