There's a pretty decent sized gay club that hosted this year's pridefest but I don't...Glo I think is the name of it, or springfield GLO and you can find tons of gay sand lesbians there to socialize with and help you get better familiarized with the scene here. (Nov 6, 2009 | post #2)

I've been one of those denied for Medicare/Medicaid and I make less then 1100 a month right now as well. I think a little bit of it has to do with how bad our economy is right now, the people that are stuck working for wal-mart and looking to find a way out of being there are also having to face the fact that there are less jobs out there available right now then there may have been 5 years ago thanks to how badly our economy is going right now. I know that I am finding very few job postings that I can apply for right now because our economy is so poor right now. Yes, it may be making a turn around in the last month or so but its not fast enough or grand enough of a change to allow there to be 100 new job postings that I can apply for that are non-seasonal work, (I just moved back into state for those who didn't know). So basically what I'm saying is that the economy is partially to blame for so many people having to rely on that type of insurance. The rest is most likely bad spending habits financially.
