Yes ole George boy did serve in WWII and respect for that. But Joe Jnr. died on duty carrying out a really dangerious mission. JFK himself served and saved others from certain death. Robert did so much to destroy the mafia and organized crime putting his life at great risk. Some say that's why he got offed. A brave American hero. Perhaps Joe Snr. was involved in some shady deals but everything he did shrinks in comparison to the insanity that G.B Jnr. and his buddies have gotten up to. Why no one likes Australia anymore
Ireland was part of the UK when Cook set foot on Australia (I can't say that he discovered as the Dutch had alrady been and had named it New Holland but that's another story). The countries that you mention as being part of the British empire at the time, the Cook islands, the Cocos islands, Jamaica and even several African colonies were not part of the UK. They were not part of Britain. They were colonies of Britian. Ireland joined the UK in an act of union and so was not colonised. That's why you can see the flag of St.Patrick representing Ireland on the union flag. The Irish voted MP's into the house of commons as did other pars of the UK. The populations of the colonies you mentioned did not have voting rights or democratic representation in the house of commons. Actually Wales was officially colonised hence no representation on the union flag. I agree with you on the point that many different ethnic groups helped to create the Australia we know today. All are equal Aussies, regardless of ethnic background if you ask me. (Nov 2, 2009 | post #269)

What Kennedy's are in jail? The only jail is the misinformation that surrounds your mind my son. The Kennedy's were war hero's amongst other things, many other things. Irish people are cool, so are Scotish and English people. I think some Americans like to talk of their Irish heritage because the US and most of Ireland rebelled and broke away from the olde empire. Also a lot of Irish fought with the Americans in the American War of Independence so this may also have endeared them to the Americans. Just my theory and open to constructive critisism.
