Joan.....Thank for posting that link to the PG article. I think it is appalling that they would use DR as a source for an article. Would anyone who is good at writing (not my strongest trait) consider letting the journalist and writer of the article know who she interviewed (and what he was convicted of)? Wonder how the young man featured in the article feels being so highly spoken of by someone who molested him (if it is true). If my molestor ever spoke out on my behalf I'd probably be physically ill. It is hell having to live a "normal" life pretending that nothing happened. I know what that feels like. I have been reading and joining in on this forum for months and am in agreement with most of what is said warning about DR and his blind followers. However, I must point out that not all of the arts community is involved with, or related in anyway to, DR or his kind. To name a couple, the Hill Youth Chorale and Sing Hosanna! are wonderful performing arts groups in Butler for kids that do not have anything to do with that pervert and his idiotic supporters. Please do not lump all of the arts into the same pile. THE BIG PICTURE..... First of all, this forum is about MANY of us (not just Penelope) who are concerned about our court system that DID NOT, in any way, punish Don justly. What he did to the boy was to steal something from him that he can never get back, ever. I understand that Don has friends that want to be a support system for him. However, where is the empathy for what the VICTIM went through and will endure emotionally for the rest of his life? I believe that much of the anger that many people feel would have been somewhat abated had Don received a just punishment (what he received is ludicrous and not worth discussing) and truly showed remorse. These are some of the things that show some of us that there is little remorse..... If he were remorseful he would not align himself anymore with Blazing Star so that the organization could possibly continue without him. A child molester's photo does not belong on the front page of a website whether he founded it or not. He is a criminal. PERIOD. A remorseful man would make sure that his friends comforted the victim and the family. A remorseful man would not mumble his statement in court so that no one, including the victim, could hear his apology. A remorseful man would make certain that he stay away from children FOREVER. Will any of you allow your grandchildren to take music lessons from him? You think this is a vendetta against Don and you could not be further from the truth. BTW...it is 7:51pm (weather is fine) and the show could have gone on tonight as planned. 100+ kids, 200+ parents, and many more are affected by this decision. Plane tickets were purchased, relatives were already in town, people had arrangements made. Neither Karns City nor Seneca Valley cancelled theirs shows Friday when the weather was bad ALL DAY and we had 6 inches of snow, at least, by 5:00pm. The kids have already spent the last 4 school nights rehearsing from 6-11 and are expected to do so 3 more nights this coming week again. It's absolutely absurd. (Mar 7, 2008 | post #2)

I was just looking at Blazing's site. I guess they will continue to exist and be associated with a pedophile. DR's face is still plastered on each page along with other members. They still proudly proclaim the glorious beginning started by DR and Mags. And they still list DR on their staff page as the "Founding Artistic Director". They also are advertising for new members age 14 and older. Now,according to his sentence, DR is not to be unsupervised around minors for 8 years.
