L.E.A.P Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, What do u think?

In Amsterdam its not legal to smoke weed on the streets but you can use it in the store where you purchase it and in your home or motel room. This seems to work well for them. Their other drug useage in that country are the lowest any where. Do you know why ? Because they keep the pot smokers away from the drug dealers on the street. If the pot smoker does not have to look at drug dealers to get it they don't come into contact with the harmful drugs. After all how many robberies have you heard of because someone was jonesing for it? NEVER you know why pot its that type of drug. It use to be illeagle not to grow pot in the united states. Everyone had to grow their own. So what has changed over the last 100 or 150 years ago. Instead of outlawing pot they should have outlawed drinking instead.  (Nov 9, 2009 | post #2)

The Connection between Illegal Immigration and Organized Crime

Carthage Missouri is the new Mexico there are so many here. You can't get housing at a reasonable price. Why because 4 or 5 families move into 1 house and are willing to pay the outragious amount that slum lords and landlords both are asking. Its because of them housing has raised and more than half can't speak or refuse to speak english. No one knows how many are illegal aliens. That works right up to the time That you think about this person holding a pistol on 1 or all of your children. I didn't care about the stuff, the stuff can be replaced but not lives of my children. So I still would have done what needed to be done. I won't steal from you or harm your children I expect the same. I am not a violent person per say but I am not going to let some thug from St.Louis or Carthage or 10 buck 2 harm my family or myself. I have never been afraid for myself always the other. I have been in gun fights No one got shot, trailers got hit a few trees but no humans or animals. I guess enough is enough Just Plain tired  (Jul 14, 2007 | post #11)

No everything I am telling you is true. This all happened in Carthage,MO. Yes I was convicted and I had to bond out of jail, retain an attorney and pay a fine. When the guys robbed my home my 16 year old son at the time answered the door. They shoved him down and put a 357 in his face. My son identified 2 of the men that busted through the door. He didn't live with me at the time; The police scared him so bad saying that 1 of them were a memember of a gang from St.Louis and they couldn't protect him. So I took up my faithful 12 gauge and went on the hunt. I was pulled over by carthage police department, that if any thing happened to these men that I would be arrested. They doubled the police force that weekend because I come from a big family one of the biggest in Carthage. All my relatives come here all through the summer, as they go back to their homes. They came to my home and told me not to make things worse by starting a race war. It had nothing to do with race, I know and like all or most all of the black people here in town. Many came to me and apogolized for these men and said you know they are once that came in from St. Louis. Lots of guns that weekend were on the streets. The Carthage Police came to my home again and told me that they would arrest me for interfereing with an investigation. Pretty screwed up I think. Maybe just me but it seems the law works more for them instead of keeping us safe. I guess maybe I am just plain tired......  (Jul 14, 2007 | post #9)

No emergency care for animals

I didn't know till last night that there is No emergency care around here except in Springfield. I had a kitten that was a runt the mother had kicked out. (a stray cat) My wife and I are both animal lovers and have a couple of dogs and cats but all of the stay in the house. All cats are spade or neutered(sorry not real good speller some times) But this kitten was small and under our mobile home crying. Wife brought it in and where I am disabled I started atending to it. We her about 5 weeks and she became ILL last night. I called every where looking for an emergency animal care open non of the so called emergency centers were open but 1 had a phone service and a doctor called back and said, give it some Pepto and it will be alright in the morning and go to your vet. Shortly there after the kitten died fighting and crying all the way. She kept crawling to me as if saying help me please. But the only place was Springfield,Mo. She died at about 3:00 A.M. the 13 of July. My question is why isn't there one here. Oh yeah there is on the weekends 24 hrs. for a day. Weekends only....? So if you have an animal that gets sick or injuried after 5 P.M. forget about a vet around here. I thought vets were or as I remember them they loved animals and only cared about their well being. Not anymore now its money and what they can get. I'm tired of the animals having to suffer because we are so far behind times here in Carthage, Joplin, Webb City..... I agree, I didn't call neighbors did. I was still sitting on top of the guy. Police came in took me off of him and I went to jail. I believe that no 1 person or body people have the power to make me flee from my home or my family. I have had meth heads (satans drug) kick in the front door of my home while I was and my children 10-16 or home. Pulled a gun on them and robbed the house. I had a Rottweiler trained for such situtions. But children had put him away in a room with the door shut. Police said that was a good thing because if the dog would attacked that would been considered a man trap. Now I have a mastiff and Pit Bull plus a 12 gauge pump... Now thats a man trap. Yeah, I agree with you all about entering a home. I have been arrested for unlawful use of a firearm, because I had a drunk man enter my home uninvited carring a knife. He came at me I grabbed my rifle and hit him with butt of the gun. Called the police and I went to jail while the other guy walked away with NO charges. inhuman treatment

I ahve noticed that it sure takes a lot to get people involved when it comes to animal abuse. There are so many different laws and regulations that have to be met. There are so many that I don't how animal abuse could ever be found against anyone. How much land do have to have per horse? How long do animals have to go up with out water and proper shelter or grass before its considered animal abuse ? How skinny is consider to skinny ? If you report animal abuse they have a thousand reason's why they can't act on animal abuse. Do the animals have to die first? I am not an animal expert or a animal activist just someone concerned about animals being treated right. Animals are just like small children, they need to be taken care of. They can't complain themselves so it takes people to act on their behalf. What should a concern citizen do if they see or suspect animal abuse? Call the Human society, Jasper county Sheriff department? No one ever wants to get involved because they don't want to make a neighbor mad or they just don't want to get involved. Make a differnce in an animals life if you see abuse. How do you tell someone that they are abusing their horses with out making them mad. Should I take it upon myself to water the horses? I have called but was told they couldn't find any abuse.. But days or weeks with out grain or water or grass I think is cruel and abusing. What should I do ?????  (May 4, 2007 | post #1)
