Browns to play 3 times on Monday night
The schedule is scary, but why not the Browns? Every team IS so up and down and some go through strings of poor weeks. I still believe we are going 5-1 in the division. If we can win 5 more games in the remaining 11 we will finish with 10 wins and probably a division crown. I was surprised at how many tough teams are going to be played at home, but thats to our advantage right? LETS GET PUMPED UP! GO BROWNS! (Apr 15, 2008 | post #8)
Linebacker Shantee Orr signs one-year contract
Predictions for Browns divisional record for 2008? I am thinking at least 4-2, but will say 5-1 with one loss coming to Pittsburgh. Any thoughts? (Mar 24, 2008 | post #9)
Linebacker Shantee Orr signs one-year contract
So our 3/4 set right now is looking like this: OL: Kamerion Wimbley & Antwan Peak IL: Leon Williams and D'Quell Jackson DE/NT: Shaun Rogers, Corey Williams, with Robaire Smith & Shawn Smith rotating LB role players: Andra Davis, Shantee Orr, & McGinest With Mcdonald & Wright at CB and Poole & Jones at S, our DEF looks much improved since last year. With improvements on the Offensive side as well, theres no reason to believe we cant win 10+ and make the playoffs. (Mar 24, 2008 | post #8)
The 49ers are making an effort but I dont think they are spending their money wisely. Is Isaac Bruce better than Darrell Jackson? Will Bryant be able to produce? Will Arnaz battle break out into the WR they hope he can be? I would have at least kept Jackson through training camp based on my belief that competition will bring out the best in everyone. Foster was a nice pick-up but he doesnt scare me at all. (Mar 17, 2008 | post #1)

Man, you got to be kidding me! Are you serious? I just reported your last blog as abuse and hopefully you will be blocked. Look, I am all about the innocent trash talking, Browns/Steelers rivalry, discussing our teams ups and downs, etc., but using this site for what it was actually meant for is in everyones best interest. Leave the wife out of it. I mean, c'mon. Do I really have to consider taking my favorite picture of my wife and I down because some of us aren't man enough to be respectful. Oh, just to let you know, and not that I am boasting, but I am currently active duty military and serve this great country for guys like you, and why, so I can have my and I insulted on some sports blog site. It just baffles me how some people actually have the audacity to go there! With that said, if I said anything to offend you that bad that you had to insult my beautiful, incredible wife, I am sorry. Hopefully I took the high road here guys. I am sorry to everyone who had to witness this. I'm out (not gone), Go Browns and God Bless! (Mar 12, 2008 | post #134)

Whats worse than a sports fan living vicariously through sports? Give up? A "REALIST " who spends his life insulting sports fans who live vicariously through sports. And he called me an idiot. I think if all you can say is something insulting, than you need to check into some type of Road to Recovery class for Co-Dependancy, Anger Management, Porn addiction, etc. Or you are really lonely and lashing out at people who arent as happy as you are, lol. That was sarcasm if you couldnt pick up on it. Why are you giving your home town a bad name? Have a great day! (Mar 12, 2008 | post #129)

Just food for thought about the Browns upcoming season. I have heard our schedule in 2008 is a lot tougher than the one in 2007. Before our moves in free agency and trades, I would have agreed, but I started looking at the moves of those teams we will be playing in 2008 and really feel our schedule wont be that bad. Sure we play the Colts, Giants, Eagles, and Cowboys, which will be challenging. Steelers always play us tough as well, but I believe we are in every single game! Start with the Division. The Bengals and Ravens are on the decline. Cincy has no defense and the Ravens are getting older and have no legit starter at QB. The Steelers lost Faneca and a degraded O-line wont help there depth at RB when they signed Mewelde Moore. Willie Parker is also coming off a torn fibula in the playoffs, hence the Moore signing? It seems like they resigned a lot of their guys, but I believe the 100 million dollar contract to Big Ben is going to hurt them in the long run. So it is possible for us to go 6-0 in the division. Other than our division games the browns will play houston, indy, dallas, NYG, denver, Jax, Tenn, Phi, wash, buf. We are Home for the NYG, COLTS, and Cowboys, houston and denver. We can beat houston, denver, Buffalo, Tennessee, and JAX. Add those five wins to the 6 division wins and thats 11 wins right there. I know my sights are lofty, but they may not be so unrealistic right now. I really believe in you BROWNS! (Mar 11, 2008 | post #121)

I read an article on Pro Sports Daily that the Minnasota Vikings are supposedly interested in acquiring Browns QB Brady Quinn for the 17th over-all pick. I think it would take a lot more than the 17th overall pick for him. Quinn is still our future, but I wouldnt turn my ear from enticing offers if they can help the team. I have been thinking about the QB situation for weeks now and had hoped they would have been able to trade DA to another team or he'd sign with one so that we would have been able to start Quinn and pick up a 1st and a 3rd. I like DA, nothing against the guy. Its just had we known about DA before the draft we could have drafted an outside LB this year for the pass rush. I know I am messing with fate, and I shouldnt spend too much time thinking about the what ifs, but we have never been able to think about anything else besides losing and high draft picks that dont work out. I know Savage knows what he is doing and two good QB's is better than one or none, but it would have been interesting. Why not trade Brady Quinn to the Falcons for their 1st (Mar 11, 2008 | post #120)

I just noticed that the Browns signed a versitle O-Lineman that had started the last four years in Miami, and re-signed OL Lennie Friedman. Phil Savage just keeps impressing me. I mean our O-line was our strong point last year and we just got a little bit more depth. Lineman are like pitchers I guess. You could never have enough good ones. (Mar 11, 2008 | post #119)
