Until some ppl here get a better socioeconomic situation the slaughter of dogs, and in some cases even rats, will continue to occur. It's gross, agreed. But if you ask me, I do not see the eating of say baboy/pork/swine or certain seafoods as any more better or moral than that of dogs. I believe the Creator gave dietary laws for the benefit of mankinds health (Lev.11). Neither Jesus or Peter changed that in the NT. (Thursday Jul 31 | post #7)

It is a complete disgrace and very sad. I guess the left turn will mean much trouble for your country and that it will take time to clean up the mess. This is basically not a malaysian problem, but a filipino problem. Malaysia will survive the deportation of some filipinos. Philippine economy however will collapse because of its continous EMIGRATION. A country that sets its hope, not to its own strengh, but to OFW Western Union remittances is doomed to poverty. The pinoy brain drain is costing the Philippines a LOT more than what is being sent back home from the OFW's to families and friends. (Jul 28, 2008 | post #30)
