Havent looked up the numbers, just going by your post. dems received 57% of 4.8 mil correct? Where did the other 43% go? The democrats have control of congress correct? What is the percentage of dems to rep in congress? Dems have roughly 52% of both houses, and if your numbers are correct that 52% received 57% of the 4.8 mil, that figures to roughly 2.76 mil. Do you forget that the 48% of Rep received the other 43%? That figures to roughly 2.06 mil. How much does it average out to per member? 282 Dems $9787.23 251 Rep $8207.17 When you look at the numbers I will agree the dems received more. Did they receive a huge amount more like your making it out as... NO I dont agree. I will say that both the Dems and Rep have had their hands out saying gimme gimme gimme. In closing I cannot agree with your perception that it is only the dems getting money, just from what I showed above shows that both parties are guilty. (Sunday Sep 21 | post #46)

If your going to mandate things like this why not add: Businesses have coverd walk ways entering and exting a store out to the parking lot to protect from ice so people dont fall. Stop lights at EVERY cross street. People who drive and cant afford more than liability ins should drive around in tanks so they cant get injured. People who cant afford health care should just live like a hermit and not leave the house because if they get hurt they cant afford the bills. I disagree. I do not know a single profession that if an employee cheated on a certification that they need to perform the duties of their job would not be fired. Would you feel the same if a person crashed into 1 of your family members injuring them severly. That person is charged with DUI and faces serious charges, but since the LEO cheated on the required certification to be able to determine the DUI charge. The charge gets thrown out of court and the guy walks with a slap on the hand with a lesser charge. I would agree if this was just some dept sponsored refresher course or something like that. But this was a certification mandated by LAW to be able to administer tests to prove guilt in a court of law. I am not positive but am pretty sure that it is against the law to cheat on a drivers license exam. Some states its punishable with up to 6 months in jail. So if its against the law to cheat on a test to know traffic laws, why shouldnt LEO be fired on cheating tests to enforce them? (Thursday Sep 11 | post #51)

Agree, what I was saying if someone had the money and time and had a DUI in the past by one of these troopers I would think they would have a good chance of getting these overturned. I can see it now, trooper on the stand, "did you cheat on the exam?" yes, "did you cheat on previous exams?" no, "How can we know.
