Thunder-Rockets Set For BOK Center
I wanted to go to this game last night, but I had class. But my THUNDER season tickets will get broken in tonight @ the Ford Center vs. The LA Clippers. GO THUNDER!!!!! (Tuesday | post #5)
Creek Nation hikes minimum wage TULSA, Okla. ...
It's good to hear that the tribe is willing to do something to help their own out. Cause the casino management sure wouldn't do anything to help. I left Creek Nation Casino about 3 months ago after 4 years of devoted service. I worked in a certain department where the pay was screwed up from day one. Those who had lower seniority and/or lower experience/educati on than me were getting paid more. Even those hired on, doing the same job as me, were starting off making more than I was. After numerous complaints from myself and fellow co-workers to correct the problem, the department's director, JB, didn't care. I'm glad my old co-workers got a much deserved raise. That raise was more than what my old boss gave me during my last evaluation, which was only 18 cents. That's not a raise, that's an insult. Hence why he's my OLD boss and I'm no longer there. Fairgoers Lay Off High-Priced Items
Well, I hope you all had fun this year. Next year will be worse. Since the city has annexed the fairgrounds, everything will go up 3% across the board next year, thanks to the city tax increase. I'll continue to boycott the fair, so I say no thank you. Without Bell's there is no fair. The City & County Fair Board can kiss my fat **** ! I'll spend my hard earned money elsewhere. Thunder to unveil team uniforms next week
If that does happen, that will just help us Tulsans out. At least it will save me a ton in gas and tolls. Now if only city leaders can solve the parking problem at the BOK..... (Tuesday Sep 30 | post #21)
Thunder to unveil team uniforms next week
I live in Tulsa, and I think OKC is a much better market. It's great we're getting a pre-season game @ the BOK against Houston (unfortunately I can't go to that game). OKC was one of only four teams to sell out season tickets this early. The other three teams were the Boston Celtics, LA Lakers, and Phoenix Suns. And I'm proud to say I'm one of those Thunder season ticket holders. I'll enjoy spending my hard earned money on gas, tolls, and other amenities to enjoy my first ever NBA experience. 30 days and counting to the home opener. I can't wait! (Tuesday Sep 30 | post #18)

Thunder to unveil team uniforms next week
Technically we didn't steal the team, Clay Bennett did. As much as people think how shady that deal went down, keep in mind that 28 out of the 30 team owners voted in favor of the move. One of those who voted against was Dallas, cause they knew they'd be in direct competition. I happen to like the jerseys. They're very basic and not too flashy. (Tuesday Sep 30 | post #16)
Fairgoers Deal With Parking Issues
To each their own. I can't knock you for that. If my son asks me to go, then I'll take him. Otherwise, I'll just save my money for more stuff to buy at the OKC Thunder games. Back to the subject at hand, it just seems like a shady deal for the Fair Board to boot Bell's out like they did, only to turn it into a parking lot that really didn't help the situation. If it made a huge difference, then perhaps it would've been justified. But it didn't, so it was just a bad deal all around. (Monday Sep 29 | post #45)

I'm not sure if I can add code into the message, but here goes. To me they do have some similarity. If it doesn't show up above, then highlight, copy and paste the below websites into your browser to compare for yourself: New Jersey Nets logo: http://www.nba.com /media/nets/07/net s_hdr_logo.gif OKC Thunder logo: http://farm4.stati c.flickr.com/3089/ 2834128503_e6de7cd aec.jpg (Monday Sep 29 | post #4)
Fairgoers Deal With Parking Issues
Don't bother looking around the Expo and other areas. It's the same crap every year. Same vendors, same products, and even the same people working behind the booths. Take it from someone who used to go to the fair religiously every year. I would start @ the expo and trade center. Nothing but the same crap, so the only left that was actually fun was Bell's. Zingo ..... that's all I have to say. (Saturday Sep 27 | post #20)
Fairgoers Deal With Parking Issues
That's what the Tulsa County Fair Board deserves for getting rid of Bell's. They turn Bell's into a parking lot, and it's still a nightmare to park at the fair. I'm still boycotting the fair. And this story is a prime example why. (Friday Sep 26 | post #1)
Highway Funding Cuts Possibly Far Reaching
85% of the State's Highway Trust Fund comes from the Federal Govt, which is more than what other states have in theirs. Gee, I wonder why that is? Just more money trickling down into the politician's pockets and not being used for what it was intended for. I've been driving to OKC a lot lately, and the roads are way better. Perhaps Amber is right about the favoritism with the state capitol! At least I'll get to enjoy it more soon when I start putting my OKC Thunder season tickets to good use! (Sep 11, 2008 | post #12)
OHP Troopers To Leave For Louisiana
Geez, can't people make up their minds? http://www.newson6 .com/Global/story. asp?S=8938813 First they were going, then they weren't needed. Now the above article says "Sorry, we need you after all." (Sep 2, 2008 | post #11)
Image Of Sculpture Selected For License Plates
That's the problem. Oklahoma offers TOO MANY choices. And now the main plate is being changed? Enough is enough. I'm Native American and very proud of my heritage. The original plate is just fine the way it is. There is no need to change it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Another example is the new state highway signs. Absolutely no need to spend our tax dollars to change them. The old signs were simple and clear to read. The new signs are ugly and not nearly as clear to read as the old signs. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!
