Oswego mom, children killed

Brian, even though I hate to speculate like you did without all the facts, you do bring up a good point. We really don't know if in fact the location where the car was found was where the shootings took place. This man does work in forensics and no one told anyone that I know of that they were going to Springfield for a water park excursion. We really have to wait and see but I guess anything is possible at this point and some of this does seem staged.  (Jun 16, 2007 | post #32)

Police: Dad not a suspect in 4 deaths

Yes, but none of them were attractive. Besides, it's not the fact that she might have done it, it is the circumstances surrounding the whole case that are odd.  (Jun 16, 2007 | post #5)

Father talking with police

Are you part of the investigation?? How do you know what evidene they have and what questions are being asked unless you are there during questioning and investigating?? If you are just relying on what you have read and heard then that means absolutely nothing. The media only reports the info they are given, we can't know everything yet.  (Jun 16, 2007 | post #5)

Oswego mom, children killed

Everyone here has raised such excellent points. I agree with most of you, like why didn't HE call 911?? He is the husband and dad and his wife shoots at him and he runs away?? Wouldn't a father's natural instinct be to make sure his kids are safe?? I read in the Chicago Sun-Times today that Kim's mother was talking to her up to the tragedy and her daughter told her everything that was going on in their plans but never mentioned this water park trip(they were supposedly on their way to Springfield when the shootings occurred). She couldn't understand why they were going to this park right before her and her husband were going away this weekend for a romantic getaway. Plus neighbors said that the 2 dogs they own and dote over were left home alone, which would mean they would be unattended to for a couple of days. They said she'd never do that. Her mother said she didn't think her daughter knew how to even use a gun. I think this guy is a lying snake. The truth will come out. He's a forensic expert, he probably thought he could get away with it. I do agree though, even though you see the "perfect " family, you just never ever know.  (Jun 16, 2007 | post #30)

Missing woman's mortgage exceeds home's value

Just think of it. They were going thru a rough divorce, they were over extended, she was kicking him out of his house, she was getting on with her life. She was working out, happy, possible seeing someone. He was jealous and had a temper I have read. So, I could totally see him going off the deep end. Still, if he did, there is no excuse for not controlling your anger. I find it highly unlikely that she went out that night and something mysteriously happened.  (Jun 14, 2007 | post #25)

It will be hard to believe that she was the shooter and not him. She was shot once but they are not saying if self inflicted or not. The kids were shot multiple times. On CNN they said it's very rare that a mother would shoot the kids like this in front of the husband and then for him to be only shot in the leg??? I will wait until more info comes out.  (Jun 14, 2007 | post #10)

Oswego mom, children killed

I don't know who this family is but I do know that they were featured in an article in the Chicago Sun-Times. The picture that accompanies the article of them was in the paper, it had something to do with their house, I think it was in the real estate section. They were pictured in their new home I think. When I saw the picture I new I saw it before.  (Jun 14, 2007 | post #5)

Paper: Missing Mom's Blood Found in Husband's Truck

Maybe being a close friend of Lisa's and living this nightmare for a month and a half is wearing on her. She may have just wanted all of this to come to an end because they want to find her one way or another. But the delivery was a little off. As far as the grinder goes, I have heard this and don't know if it's a rumor or not. I am not so sure about the psychic either. She could have put the bones there. (not really but I think you know what I mean) I also want to comment about what JR said. If he was as controlling and jealous as that, the choice to have hime evicted could have sent him over the top. Mix that with a bad temper and who knows what. I just wish they would find something. Someone said that Craig told her he could kill her and no one would find her, does anyone recall that one??  (Jun 13, 2007 | post #61)

Ky. Brothers' Bodies Found in Mom's Car

Okay, so I just read that the boys were reported missing at 8pm and that their bodies were found at around midnight. So, when the grandparents reported them missing at 8:00 they told authorities that they had been gone for about 3 hours. The coroner said that when the boys were found, they had been dead for about 6 hours already. This puts the time of death around 6:00 and they went out around 5:00. So they died about an hour after they went outside. Scary. But when did the family start to look for them?? At 6:00 at 7:00?? I also read the coroner said that once they got locked in the trunk, death comes fairly quick.  (Jun 11, 2007 | post #11)

Ky. Brothers' Bodies Found in Mom's Car

I believe they died from hyperthermia, extreme heat. So I know I have read that suffocation in hot cars doesn't take all that long. I doubt they had a lot of time to struggle to get help. Who found them in the trunk?? Why did the family wait 3 hours to report an 8 and 11 year old missing?? Maybe they go out and play without supervision for some time and the parents weren't alarmed. I have not read a lot about the situation but it is sad. It is so important to educate your children early, about the dangers of getting into situations like this. Refrigerators, freezers, trunks, anything with a lid or door that can lock, they don't realize that they can't get out.  (Jun 11, 2007 | post #10)

Six dead in Wisconsin shooting...Bush in Albania...Iraq violenc...

Yes, I spent many times there with friends back in the mid eighties. I have many great memories. It was shocking to hear it happened there but it can happen anywhere. Domestic fight, I agree. The thing that bugs me is that people just can't control their anger. What is so bad that you murder 2 infants over it?? Self control is lacking in so many people.  (Jun 11, 2007 | post #2)

'That one tip'

You are exactly right Rebecca Lynn. It is that fine line between the law and privacy. The answer could be right under their noses but because of the laws set up to protect people, there is nothing that can be done right now. I just wish that they could put all of that aside and find out what happened. We are not talking about a missing ring, it's a person. But like you said about the media, we are only hearing what they report. I am sure there is a lot of info that we don't know about. It's such a shame. If Craig did do something to her and he's getting away with it because he can legally, then that's a crime in itself. The truth will come out eventually.  (Jun 9, 2007 | post #9)

Yes JR you are right. I just read and have read before that Craig is not talking to police anymore, he won't let his kids talk and he refuses a polygraph. All of this is legal so the police work with what they have. I just don't think that's fair. Plus, I still say if he's not guilty and has NOTHING to hide then why not help police find the mother of his kids??? He must be guilty.  (Jun 8, 2007 | post #6)

Renewed Search for Missing Plainfield Woman

See now I have heard two versions. One report is that Craig said he knows she left but he was in the backyard. So I am assuming he didn't see her leave. Another report I have read says he saw her leave with a man who picked her up. What story is correct?? Now if another story being told is that someone picked her up to go workout, who was that person?? I am so confused. I can't believe there hasnn't been a break in this case yet.  (Jun 7, 2007 | post #21)

'That one tip'

I forgot about the tarp comments. I heard those also. I don't know if it's him or if the media has it wrong and one station reports one thing and another something else. But I wouldn't think that the media would be that off on their info. Strange.  (Jun 7, 2007 | post #3)
