Eventually the blame Bush train will have to leave the station. Most conservatives don't agree with how the Bush admin. handled the bailouts and all the spending either, but this guy has made it so much worse! A progressive is a progressive. If you don't see that, than you are naive, dumb, or blind by your obsession for Obama! However, I would say the lesser of the two evils has to be Bush. I disagree with the spending and not controlling the border, but I do think that he loves his country, Obama does not!  (Monday | post #802)

Actually, McCain was born on base in the Panama Canal where his father was stationed! Which the US owned at that time. Do you really want to go down that road and question someones status because they happen to have parents that are serving this country. That's pretty unpatriotic! I heard the DA was still going through with the charges. And the dad said enough to make me think there is a bigger problem here when he said that it was no differnet than taking your kids to a football game or movie. Well yeah it is, at least there they have access to the restroom. If they are being charged with child neglect, than why in the world do they already have their kids back. Who made that dumb call! You would think until the investigation is over and they go to court the children would not be handed back over already. Neighbor Of Owasso Couple Accused Of Child Abuse Voices Concern

I keep seeing the same person on here defending this family, obviously you are close to this family so I'm sure it's difficult to come to the realization of what is going on here. If you think about things like this in the past it's usually people that nobody would expect. I remember not that long ago when an assistant youth pastor at a local church was accused of molesting a teen boy. There were so many people that came to his defense, even other youth members and claimed there was no way he did this. Well, it turns out he did. That is not out of the question here either. What really worries me is that you or in no other news forum have I seen any of the people defending this couple show concern for these teens, all you people have shown is what seems to be disgust and have gone so far to try and demonize these children! With people like you in their lives I can imagine how they feel hopeless and alone. You keep claiming that nobody has all the facts, from where I'm sitting we have as many facts as we need from the horses mouth. It concerns me that they didn't have access to food or water, but it bothers me even more that they had no way to get access to bathroom facilities if they needed it. There are people claiming that it wasn't that cold, well that depends on the person, I was out Sat night and I was pretty chilly and I was fully clothed with shoes and socks on! And if something else I heard is true, it makes me even more angry that the mother had the nerve to ask police if she could go inside because she was cold and wet and needed to use the restroom. I'm sure the poor girl would have been happy to be given the oppurtunity to walk a mile in ANY shoes. She'd be happy to just have been given a pair of shoes in the rain and cold. Because as this story reads she was found shivering with NO shoes in the rain and cold. If it is true that they had a fit, how is that any differnt than any other teen and their parents seem to deal with it better than this. There is no excuse for this. No matter how much you people want to try and protect these people. Would you leave YOUR children, no matter the circumstance outside in those conditions. Not to mention shoeless? I have a hard time believing that any reasonable person would. They should have kept their butts home with the kids. Were they naive in believing that two abused children were not going to have some problems. They just made it worse.  (Sunday Nov 22 | post #53)

Well they have obviously as reported told police they locked them out of the house because they would possibly harm themselves. So, that's enough for me. Why did they not take ALL the children on the "family" activity! If they loved them the same they would have all went. And another thing that bothers me is why do they feel the need to harm themselves. If they were given love and affection from this awful people they probably would have been less apt to feel so helpless. And as for you people that are downing the neighbor. She didn't say that all the times she saw them walking the neighborhood that it was cold and rainy as it was this time. Just seeing kids walking around the neigborhood a lot doesn't really justify calling the cops. Kids walk around my neighborhood often, that doesn't make me think they are being abused. But if I found out they were than I would feel awful just as the neighbor does. She holds no responsibility in this matter. And many of you that are posting are seriously misguided if not evil in your thinking that we should stand behind these "parents ".  (Friday Nov 20 | post #50)

Terrorists Don't Have Same Rights as Civilians

Tell the President that. I think he'd give them more than that if the media didn't jump him for it. Well not the whole media just Fox News. I think Vince Flynn said it best today on Glenn Beck when he said that anybody that tells you that Gitmo is the number one recruiting tool for terrorist groups is wrong. Because the countries these groups come from don't care about the fair justice system. They don't hate us for Gitmo, they hate us because of our culture and our freedom.
