All you vatos are good for is coming on topix and bragging about how bad your little clicka is. http://www.topix.n et/forum/city/la-h abra-ca/T8DTT7R5ME 4IRME12/p165#c4259 http://www.topix.n et/forum/city/whit tier-ca/T9DIJGRASC 4B903FS/p64#c1650 http://www.topix.n et/forum/city/la-p uente-ca/T8AJ6TE1J FTQ2MJSU And on and on and on . . . I say have a competition . . . call it the Órale Olympics . . . lets say we get all you beaners together and compete in some games unique to your culture. You could have: The jump in beatdown – where four of five of you choda chompers rump up on one poor wannabe The Bud Lite carry – to see how many 12 packs one guy can carry from the 7-11 to past the bus stop The drive by shoot-em-up – try to hit a target sized like a defenseless old lady while hanging out of a minivan door The run and hide – where you try and find a place where the police dogs can't reach you and my personal favorite . . . The Ho-slap – where you see how many times you can whack your baby mama before you get her all marked up. Let the games begin  (Sunday | post #4267)

Talk about lame. Puny pachucos. You are the ones coming home from HDSP with fudge on your chorizo not me. But hey, what happens in Palmdale or Calipatria or Chino, stays there. Pobrecito mijo. Keep on pony packing your homies boys, those fat cholitas at home don't have a clue.  (Apr 2, 2013 | post #4189)

Admit it, you mini bangers only belong to a clicka so you have someone to pony pack you when you are in the slam. Everybody knows it and hey, those fat cholitas do get tiring after awhile. Even eight or tem bud lites can't make one of them drawn up hos tolerable so go head on, get popped, head back to chino or palmdale and get after the choda checking. Just remember to have mamacita bring plenty of preparation H on visitor day.  (Mar 28, 2013 | post #4179)

Pony vs Little League

Not so sure about the blanket statement, “Little League is the big time, Pony is the minors, ask ABC and ESPN.” I'd have to say that the ABC/ESPN/Disney connection to Little League Baseball has more to do with global marketing and tradition than it does with competitive equity. Maybe you can ask Bob Iger next time he has you over for cocktails on the yacht. My personal recollections of the last couple dozen years are the best rec ball league all-stars East of the 605 have come out of Pony organizations like Charter Oak, Chino Hills, Placentia, and even Whittier. Mostly the head to head games are played between one league's de facto all-stars at a given age and another's either in tournaments during the fall or winter or even in winter ball leagues. The best SoCal LL all-star crew in recent memory were the boys from Thousand Oaks' Conejo Valley LL who won the LL World Series in 2004. They also played together year round as the Conjeo Valley Cougars and gave the USSSA Major Division a go after taking it all in Williamsport. I don't think they ever won more than one game in a tourney and finally went back to some success as a AAA team and in either Triple Crown or one of the other groups. Kids could sure hit but they only had one A+ pitcher which is about two short of what a team needs to win in the rarefied world of travel BB. :-J  (Mar 24, 2013 | post #52)

Top Stories - North Korea

Ominous new threat from North Korea

The guy running the show over there in North Korea, I think his name is Sum Yung Goo or something like that, needs to have his friend Dennis Rodman google Ohio Class Missile Submarine and then pass that info back. I just think that this nutcase, (the N Korea guy, not Rodman), is just a little under informed. This is what happens when you suppress the internet.  (Mar 22, 2013 | post #5)

Pony vs Little League

Another reason to play LL and not Pony are the uniforms PL coaches have to wear at the sanctioned tournaments. Old, fat, grey-haired guy + BB togs = wrong  (Mar 20, 2013 | post #45)

La Mirada Street Names

Leutwiler was the name of some early settlers in the area. Swiss I think. Again, not 100%, but I believe they bought a big parcel from the Stearns Co. Lots of cross street names came from families who settled after the Civil War and were growers or oilmen (Scott) or sheepmen (Bastanchury). Other streets were named after some of the original grants (Santa Gertrudes, Los Nietos). \\  (Mar 17, 2013 | post #10)
