Hingham rotary overhaul gets state money
The initial reason for Patrick’s visit was to spotlight the dredging of Hingham Harbor, a $1.5 million project that will allow the channel to remain open for commercial and recreational vessels. Seems like it was just dredged not too many years ago. There's no commercial vessels in Hingham. The residents chased them all away. The only good harbor master Hingham ever had, they FIRED! The state should kick in a few million more and hire a support group for the residents. Help them get over themselves. (Friday Dec 4 | post #2)

jcklla I agree with curious. Cops don't wanna do sht. I suppose if a loud bike went by and woke one up sleeping at the boat ramp, or electro switch, MBTA parking lot or any of the other nap zones, they'd write a ticket. The only ones who will do anything is the RMV, and you have to press it, but then they will slap some down time on the sticker station that passed the bike. How do you know it was poisoned? And if so, how do you know somebody did it on purpose? Might have eaten some rat poison or licked an anti freeze spill from a vehicle (or eaten something from the school dumpster there... that stuff will kill you) Around here, most of the cats get eaten by coyotes, so when they dig up my new seedlings and crap in my garden, or in the kids sand box next door, I know their days are numbered anyway. I'm extremely "Chilled out." So let me see, first it was about people don't SEE bikes, so loud pipes is a safety factor so they can be heard and "save lives." Now suddenly it has changed to "People run right up on you and squeeze you out." So, how is loud pipes going to prevent people from doing that? I'm at a loss there, please explain. And NO, NOISE is not about living in the city. We have laws which loud pipes break. If you can't abide by the laws, pay the penalty. Living in the CITY is about TRAFFIC and idiot drivers. If you can't deal with it, MOVE to the country and ride with the cows. If you're a big bad biker, the danger of riding in traffic comes with the territory. Take the heat or get out of the kitchen. My uncle was killed on his Indian by a lumber truck. Didn't stop me or my brothers from riding. By the way, I got a reply from my state rep., and he said he will "Forward it to the appropriate committee, and thanked me for my concern. You'll look cute in orange, and you'll be nice and safe. My mistake. It's not 100 inches, it's 500.. But I just looked it up, and sent an email to my representative at the state house to get the ball rolling. Now it's up to the rest of you, bikers and non bikers. Lets make it safe for them to ride on the road with all the trucks and cars. Send letters and make phone calls to the state house and get this thing done. Massachusetts All hunters during shotgun deer season and deer hunters during primitive firearm season must wear at least 500 square inches of Hunter Orange on their chest, back, and head. Well. I have the solution to the biker problem. When ever I go hunting, I have to wear day glow RIDICULOUS looking clothes so idiots who don't know the difference between a DEER and a PERSON don't shoot me. Not my idea. It's the law. The government seems to think they know better than I. So, lets pass legislation that ALL bikers have to wear 100 square inches of day glow orange whenever they ride. Now drivers can see them, and they can put the quiet pipes back on that they used to get an inspection sticker. I rode for years and never had loud pipes and never got hit by a car. It's just a cop out BS story that has become the bikers mantra. as a former biker (I grew up) I think loud pipes sound like sht, and are rude, and bothersome. Lets get this 100 square inches of orange legislation passed! SUMMARY: Next time the dog is barking, and a loud bike is coming down the road, run out and tie the end of the dogs leash to a tree across the street. Problems solved. (Nov 16, 2009 | post #82)

Not true. National parks you can carry guns. "Federal buildings" might be more accurate. Post office etc.. Just one more BS law. How'd that work out for them? Wherever guns aren't allowed, is exactly where chicken sht criminals will carry guns. Now the families should bring a class action suit, because if it IS a gun free zone, who ever wrote and voted for that legislation should be held accountable for these deaths. Dear Americans, The travesty of American's unalienable rights perpetrated against the people at Fort Hood is confirmation that our government has derailed. This is proof that when we leave our safety in the hands of our government and depend on a cell phone for immediate help, instead of a gun, they will show up in time to draw chalk lines around our corpses and file a report. What will it take for people to realize that criminals will always find a way to secure a gun and kill people, especially where they know that the citizens are not armed because of our ridiculous gun laws. The very thought that on an American military base, nobody was armed and ready to defend themselves is more than a crime against humanity. It is an outright sin that we the people once again fall victim to the laws inflicted on us by the liberal elite. We the people will no longer stand for this. The time has come for real change. Change we can live with. We the people will no longer tolerate or abide by these insane laws. I urge everyone to 1. Join the NRA and GOAL. 2. Take a gun safety course, and purchase a gun, even if you don't think you need one. You wear a seat belt in a car and bring a life jacket on your boat, and have a fire extinguisher in your house, and you never plan to need them. 3. Send a letter or call your representatives and tell them you're sick of their nonsense, and plan to fire them come next election. 4. So? What's your solution? I often do sensitive audio recording at home. Try getting through eight or nine minutes of it and have a car stereo go by and destroy the recording. There are laws against noise pollution. Those sirens? They NEED to be that loud for the doped up morons driving the cars with no inspection stickers, no mufflers, and booming sound systems. But who's going to enforce them? I have turned in drug dealers in Weymouth. I turned in an arsonist in Weymouth, and tried to hand over finger prints from the perp. Nobody was interested. My suggestion... but ear plugs or move. Nobody in Weymouth wants to do their job from the Mayor to the lawn mowers. And make sure your taxes are paid up when you move. (Jun 25, 2009 | post #30)
This guy is a menace to society, and shouldn't be a cop. Imagine if this was your mom in this ambulance. We owe it to humanity to write and complain to the governor about this lunatic.
