YOU MAY BE A LIBERAL IF 1) You believe the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of funding. 2) You are against capital punishment, but for abortion on demand, in short you support protecting the guilty and killing the innocent. 3) You believe that the same public school teacher who can't teach 4th graders how to read is qualified to teach those same kids about sex. 4) You believe that trial lawyers are selfless heroes and doctors are overpaid. 5) You believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than nuclear weapons in the hands of Osama bin laden 6) You believe that global temperatures are not affected by cyclical, documented changes in the Sun, but is really affected by SUVs. 7) You believe that gender roles are artificial but being gay is natural. 8) You believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity. 9) You believe that hunters don't care about nature but animal rights activists who've never been outside Seattle do. 10) You believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it. 11) You believe there was no art before federal funding. 12) You believe the free market that gives us 500+ channels of entertainment can't deliver the quality that PBS does. 13) You believe the NRA is evil, because it stands up for the Constitution, while the ACLU is good, because they attempt to create a new Constitution out of thin air. 14) You believe that taxes are too low but ATM fees are too high. 15) You believe that Harriet Tubman, Cesar Chavez and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Dolly Madison or Thomas Edison. 16) You believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides aren't. 17) You believe that second-hand smoke is more dangerous than HIV. 18) You believe Hilary Clinton is really a lady and Rosie O'Donnell is really funny. 19) You believe that conservatives are racists, but that black people couldn't make it without your help. 20) You believe the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge. 21) You believe that posting the "Ten Commandments" in schools will hurt the children, but putting "Heather Has Two Mommies" or "Ask Alice" (on the internet) won't. 22) You called Vietnam Veterans "baby killers" but think that allowing a woman to suck her baby into a sink is a constitutionally protected right. 23) You think sexual harassment is rampant, date rape pervasive, domestic violence common and Paula Jones was lying. 24) You think trees have feelings, animals can conceptualize and the fetus is a blob of protoplasm. 25) You consider the Catholic bishops noble and idealistic when they oppose capital punishment and welfare cuts but dangerous fanatics trying to legislate their theology when they defend the right to life. 26) You believe Christian morals should be obsolete and then wonder why people looted, raped, and shot at rescue workers in New Orleans. 27) You think Michael Moore is the best that America has to offer , that he lies for a good reason. 28) You believe that the slightest mention of God is a violation of the First Amendment. 29) You think the Declaration of Independence is a rebellious teenager who tells his parents to "Go screw yourselves, I'm leaving" 30) You think you are helping blacks by making them eternal victims. 31) You think George Bush was a racist but you think Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood who advocated the extermination of blacks, is a liberal role model. 32) You think Obama was the best qualified candidate for the Presidency. Why do you not defend the innocent Americans and Israelis murdered by arab terror? Why do you not care about the Israeli athletes killed in Munich in 1972? Why do you not care about the hostages taken in Iran in 1978? Why do you not care about the marines killed (with the help of Arafat) in Beirut in 1983? Why do you not care about the innocent lives lost on Pan Am flight 103 – Lockerbie,Scotland ? Why do you not care about the attack on the World Trade Center in 1993? Why do you not care about the attack on the Khobar Towers in Dharan, S.A.in 1996? Why do you not care about the attack on the U.S. embassies in Kenya & Tanzania in 1998? Why do you not care about the sailors killed on the USS Cole in 2000? Why do you not care about the millions of Christians killed by arabs in N. Africa? Why do you not care about the racism of Saudi Arabia and their beheadings of Christians? Why do you not care about the Christian Indonesians killed by Islamic terror there? The stated goal of the Islamic arab militants is an Islamic world, and they are willing to kill anyone who gets in the way of that goal, what part of that do you not understand? Our only crime, according to Bin Laden himself , was that we dared to set foot on Saudi soil. That overlooks the fact that we were there at the request of the Saudi government. I just love the way you make assumptions. All you know about anyone here is what they post..... I have no problem with diversity as long as it's a true and natural diversity. Let me explain this concept - I do not support promoting people because of their color , religion, national origin or creed any more than I would support opressing them. There should be an accurate representation of the surrounding community at large. Let's say you own a business and it is highly technical in nature , so you make a decision that you hire only people with an IQ of 125 or above (perfectly legal). Due to circumstances beyond your control - you have no black employees (because you have had no applicants) but the black population in your immediate area is 25% of the total populace. Should you be forced to lower your company standards to hire a black person ? Personnally - I do not think you should be forced to lower your standards if 1. you have not had any applicants 2. the rest of the population at large is equally represented. P.S. Best I ever had was Tracfone - and a Nokia phone a few years back. Never lost a signal anywhere - floating the rivers fishing , hunting in the mountains, travelling up and down the east coast anywhere. When the phone died at about 3 years old - the next phone was a Motorola...suuukkked bad. No signal- nowhere. Bought an Embarf phone..LG.. not bad - it's now Sprint and a Samsung phone...not bad..occasional signal loss. Work phone is Verizon and an LG....no signal loss to speak of but it does drop calls once in a blue moon.......  (Friday Dec 4 | post #2)

"Diversity in the military" meant more than 13 lives at Ft.Hood. The golden rule should say "Do unto others as they would have you do unto them" because "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" now brings cries of racism,sexism,sexu al harassment and unfair treatment and abuse. Physical and mental abuse will continue - as long as people stand by and allow it to happen. Evil cannot succeed as long as good people stand up while others stand by. I was not comparing the two - I was pointing out similarity. (Islam and Socialism) There are varying degrees of socialism, as there are varying degrees of almost anything. You seem to have the opinion that all the populace of the above named countries enjoy the same freedoms we do , and I would disagree. Yes they enjoy many of the same freedoms we do - thanks to the USA and it's Allied Forces during WWII. I stated my position pretty clearly on socialism - if you live in an idealogical world, socialism doesn't restrict personal liberty , but here in the real world - things are a little different. Socialism rewards the shiftless and lazy and punishes success,which kills the desire to achieve, leading to a continuous downward spiral of the socialist society. Interesting - EMP type weapons are/have been "the next wave" and they would certainly knock out almost all of the information and electrical network and the majority of the transportation network. Death to most anything suceptible to a huge electromagnetic pulse - including many folks with pacemakers implanted. I'm not so sure that a Faraday cage would do anything - the most common magnetic shielding involves wrapping the object to be shielded inside another magnetic field. Air Force one - the newest version - is said to be shielded from an EMP by wrapping wire strands in the carbon fiber that much of the fuselage and wings are made of , and utilizing a computer controlled system inside the planes body to regulate the electromagnetic force generated through the wires. Essentially turning the whole plane into a large magnetic coil. The article I read left out a lot of info - I assume that was deliberate.(What effect would the field have on communications when in operation was one question that came to mind.)
